Hi!!Well its been almost a month since I set foot in my surgeon's office for a group meeting and I feel like its gone by so slow yet so fast! He said it usually takes his clients about 3 months from initial consult to operation. I just met with my amazing NUT and had my upper GI done. I have my PSYCH appt in two weeks. My question is' date=' and Im sure its different for everyone, (maybe not) is when does my claim get submitted to my insurance? I called my insurance and they really didnt give me a straight forward answer and it got very frustrating. Yet I dont want to piss them off and have them deny me. Which I'm sure would be illegal but I'm not taking any chances LOL! What has YOUR experience been?? How far along are you on your pre op journey?
ALSO!!! Are you all apart of any Sleever FB pages? I'd love to connect on fb if possible!!
Thanks!!

My journey started in feb and I was just sleeved one the 10th of this month. As far as the insurance goes my claim was submitted after all my appointments were done

I was bloated for about a week after my surgery. I am 11 days post-op and I feel completely back to normal now.I need to feel back to normal now I don't like this feeling I feel like I'm overdosing on pain meds just because it makes the feelings go away

How long will it last?

I had my surgery june 10 I'm three days post op and I must admit the beginning was a struggle I feel much better now still haven't been able to actually eat anything but I'm trying to stay hydrated which is extremely hard because I don't want to eat or drink anything! I'm really bloated. I'm using the pain meds often I need them. I can't wait to be myself again.

@ harlemzheiress. You'll do fine' date=' I'm sure. Nerves are normal but most people have a relatively uneventful recovery. Follow Drs orders and listen to your body and all will be fine. Good luck!!![/quote']Thank you I'm ready now

Yes it would be nice to at least keep the drinking during meal thing a consistent no...
You know that reminds me of my auntie. She has always been very skinny and very concerned about her and her children's weight she doesn't like fat people much..(the boys always looked under weight to me )
But as her children were growing up she had a rule at the dinner table NO drinking with meals.
Makes me wonder..
I was told by my nutritionist that drinking while eating will stretch your stomach that's why it's forbidden
Helppppppppp
