  1. Great comment! I worry if someone starts down the "can I find a way around this rule" so early in the process.

I drink pepsi now cause coke had to much gas n gas is a major factor in chest pain n I still eat candy cause my sugar levels are low n I havent gained any weight n i kept loosing weight when I first did surgery its been two yrs now in two wks that i done it

  2. OMG' date=' the thought of this actually made my mouth Water.. Sounds ALMOST as good as a buffalo wing cupcake!

I'm going to go watch some food porn now.. I need a little Diner's Drive-ins and Dives to take the edge off while I drink my chia seeds and eat my 3 ounces of chicken[/quote']

I think its useless to risk ur life with such surgery to the eat things u shouldnt have...But when u see urself weighing the same dont cry

  3. Today' date=' I am One Month, Two Days out from my Mommy Makeover (Tummy tuck, butt lift, fat transfer, Lipo, breast reconstruction, and lift, as well as augmentation) with Dr Niebles ( Neibles) in TJ Mexico.

This man is a miracle worker, and I feel like I am finally in the body that I was meant to be in my whole life!

I had my gastric sleeve May 15, 2012.

Lost my weight (110lbs) right away, and then stayed at my goal and held for 6 more months until May of this year, and booked my body reconstruction with not so high expectations of the outcome. Every day I look at my body and I can't believe that it's mine! I am finally in the body that I belong in! I am about 10 more lbs down. I could NOT be happier with my new body and my new LIFE![/quote']

Did the insurance help cover any of recont surgery?

  4. I have Type 2 diabetes as well. I remember seeing an interview on 60 Minutes a couple years ago where they were interviewing a group of people who had gastric bypass surgery. They mentioned that one of the effects of bariatric surgery was immediate "curing" of diabetes. It seems that the removal of the lower portion of the stomach causes a hormonal change which has a positive effect on blood sugar and how your body processes it. I think I am remembering correctly.

Well nice to know im going on my two yr anniversary in a few weeks n still cant control my sugar levels are too tooo low at night especially I reached my goal in 9 months im not on meds but eat sweets alot to help me cope with sugar levels any advice please

  5. I like the hawiian punch varieties' date=' they seem 'soft' if you know what I mean..[/quote']

My problem is with sugar I was diabetic n now im hypoglycemic cant keep my sugar levels up but i so eat lots of candy n that helps temporary what to do?

  6. I was just sleeved with Dr. Garcia at florence on May 20. I am so happy with my choice!! The hospital is small but clean. My surgery went wonderful! I had NO complications at all! not even any pain. I did have some gas! but other than that I did wonderful! Now the docs did tell me I was best case senerio! I had A LOT of people praying for me and I believe that was a huge factor in how well I did! We flew into San Diego cal on sunday' date=' I had surgery on monday was released from hospital on wednesday spent 2 days in the marriott! (which is a beautiful resort!) and I was home by last night! Tijuna is a little intimadating, but I come from a very small town. My total cost which does include passports for my husband and I, flights, food for him, and surgery was around 5600. hope this helps and message me anytime with more questions! I know how overwhelmed I was with the whole process so if I can help let me know! :)[/quote']

  7. I got a voicemail from my insurance(Aetna) which said she wanted to discuss some incentive program and then it was also a courtesy call for my upcoming procedure and to give her a call back. Has this happened to anyone? Does this mean I got approved? I'm so confused and sooo nervous!!

Yes u most be approved if u got a call like that :-) happy 4 you

  8. I'd love to know also! My sleeve is scheduled for June 4th. My goal is to lose about 70-80 lbs. I state this journey (surgery requirements ad all that jazz) at 227. I'm 5'2 so that's pretty heavy. I'm down to 212 now and would love to be at about 140ish. I know that when you have more weight to drop is comes off faster. I hope I am teach my goal weight sooner than later

I was 245 ur height n lost it all in 9 months I was 130 n now two yrs this month im 126

  9. I just had the sleeve done on the 30th in Houston. My weight before surgery was 275 lbs. which was the highest it's ever been. I knew I had to do something coming from a family history of high blood pressure' date=' diabetes, high cholesterol and so on. Luckily, being that over weight I didn't have any issues... Yet.

Well this past week I went in for my surgery at 271 lbs. I was so nervous. I had my mom, dad, 4 year old daughter, and fiancé there. :)

I stayed in the hospital for one night which was one tough night. I am much a belly sleeper and could not get comfortable on those hospital beds whatsoever. The pain was ok and the nurses were great.

Going for my one week post op I weighed in at 257 lbs. THAT ITSELF WAS AMAZING TO ME! Granted... I hadn't really ate or drank much.. But still... Seeing that number drop was a good feeling.

My ONLY problem I've been having so far is my chest... Whenever I take a sip of something, it hurts... I'm thinking its gas build up... I feel like if I just give one good burp then I'll be ok but I just can't do it!! So it sits there and hurts... Is there anything I can do to fix this?[/quote']

Congrats So happy to hear your dropping pounds quickly

I lost all my weight within 9 months

    I was 245 n 9 months later 130

Have no skin hanging dont know if its my genes or what but the lord blessed me thank God.

  11. Oh my gosh! The exact same thing is happening to me. I was just at the dentist today' date=' and told them, but I didn't even think to ask if there was a correlation. My gums feel swollen, and tender. I hope someone can help here.[/quote']

I was told that it was from when we throw up all the acids cause this thats what I was told

  12. I've actually noticed that every time I am on a low carb diet that I get really bad tooth sensitivity. I don't know what the correlation is.

    Starting Weight: 270' date=' Surgery Weight: 251, Two-Week Post-op Weight: 241, Four-Week Post-op Weight: 235[/quote']
