  1. I was sleeved may 16th and also got stalled at 265. My starting weight was 289. I have found that if you let go a bit and increase your calories by indulging in something like a cookie or a piece or your favorite dessert it will restart your metabolism because it feels like its being fed again. Don't go crazy and pig out lol. Just indulge for a day. I stalled at 265 for almost three weeks before I took a day off from clean eating. I ate cheese puffs and enjoyed a slice of watermelon (a big no no) and last but not least I had a vanilla latte. That weekend I dropped 4 lbs.
  2. With me it's the liquid cheese they put on hot dogs and frito pies. tried it twice and got sick both times. Lesson learned!
  3. I am better. The scale stops but it moves after a little while. Not much but it still moves in the right direction. Someone posted soemthing about our weight loss journey is like stepping down a flight of stairs. you might come down a couple of steps and stop and rest there for a while. Then you will take another couple of steps and stop again. Those words helped me when i kept playing with the same two pounds these past three weeks. what are you doing drinking and Protein wise?
  4. my mom made chicken soup with potatoes and she mashed one up so finely it was like a mashed potato in the broth. the feeling of the fine potato and the broth made me think i was eating even tho i wasn't. i did that the last two days of the liquid diet.
  5. would you mind sending it this way? My sister is looking for one and she is disappointed with the way they all look. i think this is beautiful. it's very trendy
  6. I wish I could tell you that it does but it doesn't. My doc told me that if I do it too often I'll end up stretching my esophagus and making a pouch where I can fit more food. And we all know more food equals more weight. So as soon as I feel that little movement from my tummy I stop eating immediately.
  7. I'm not going to lie but I don't work out as I should. I do walk a lot at the hospital where I work and switched the elevator for the stairs. I think it helps a bit. I've stalled a bit but jut lost another pound. Not quite sure how I'm doing that. The one thing I'm having trouble with is getting all my Protein in. Any tips with that? P.s. welcome to the thirties club!!!
  8. Did you hear from your insurance?
  9. So far so good. I stalled for almost two weeks and then bam! Another 12lbs gone. This week has been full of ups and downs but I'm keeping my hopes up that I will break into the 240s in the next week or so! How are things with you?
  10. I used to have acid reflux but it has dramatically reduced since surgery. Going to have to chat with him about it at my three month check up. Thanks!
  11. It might be... I'm going to have to try to slow down. I couldn't even finish my chicken leg. I felt that upper pain as soon as I was done. I stood up walked around and started burping a lot. Soon after the pain was gone. Guess I was too excited to eat! Lol! Thanks so muh!
  12. It happens to me also... It's the air trying to leave your tummy as your fluid makes it way down. unfortunately our esophagus isn't flexible... I usually stand there patting my chest and kicking my leg. My dad jokes that I look like I'm about to take flight. Lol!
  13. I was cleared for all solids including raw veggies 5 weeks post op. I was not a salad girl before but now I crave them!
  14. Hi everybody! I am 7 weeks post op and I've noticed that every time I eat and get full I tend to burp for about 15-20 minutes afterwards. Does anyone have a clue as to why? It doesn't matter what I eat. I could have eaten a salad and I burp. I just ate chicken with some sauce and I am burping up a storm. I almost sound like a guy! Lol!
  15. I am having a few issues... Constipation seems to be the most common... sometimes i get the dump syndrome but very rarely...
  16. That's great! How long have you been sleeved?
  17. Hi! I live near humble but I spend most of my time in the medical center. Awesome job on your temple if you don't mind my saying!
  18. Great! Hi! I'm Diana. How long ago were you sleeved?
  19. How long ago did you have yours done?
  20. I am almost 1 month post op... I was sleeved May 16... I had not thought about chewing ice! Thanks for the tip! Are you sleeved also?
  21. Yes I know how you feel. I'm stuck again but as long as I don't got up its all good. Just waiting for the ok to go swimming and jogging
  22. I anyone else experiencing drier than normal skin after surgery? I swear I have to slather on lotion everyday two or three times a day. I fell asleep last night without any lotion and I woke up itchy and with sand paper skin. When I lotioned up this morning I could literally hear my skin slurping up the lotion. Am I going a little nuts?
