  1. Great work!!!! Thank you for sharing and wishing you continued success!!!!!!!
  2. What I did when I had my lapband was treat myself once a week. Any day but once a week to something I've craved or heard about. We must still live in this life. I admire your honesty. May you find a way to enjoy and continue to loose.
  3. Enjoy that nap! I did :0)
  4. Just found that the pain meds they give us for hole causes constipation which causes gas. If poss, take pain meds for sleep and have milk of mag on hand. My day has become brighter :0)
  5. Glad it went well. The best thing I did was walk the halls on my own. The nursing staff was so shocked that I took initiative to get up and around. That helped the gas and pain.
  6. What helped me previously (had the band first) was to set my clock on my cell 45 mins prior to snacks, lunch and dinner. This gave me at least 15 mins to "wet my whistle" prior to eating until it became my norm.
  7. Thanks Christine. I called my Doc and the nurse said give it a few days. I'll go to have my drain removed Thrs and they'll look at me then. Does that seem ok?
  8. Wow that long? Interesting. Throwing up constantly? Uh oh, maybe check w your Doc about that. Feel better soon and thanks for responding.
  9. Hello, I was sleeved 6/13 and I am still experiencing what I think to be gas pains in my left shoulder. Is it normal for it to last this long? I've been taking gas x and passing gas. Just a little concerned.
  10. Good luck! Enjoy the nap, I did :0)
  11. Sleeved on 6/13, not drinking as much as I should. Sip sip sip is what I'm trying to do. Eating grits now and yum yum! My diet says hospital to 2 wks I can have cooked cereal.
  12. I've been told one drink period. I drink wine and hope that I can tolerate a small glass here and there in the future.
  13. I concur! I'm soooo happy to have found this forum of support! Thanks everyone for sharing, commenting and advice. It's helped me tremendously!!!
  14. Thanks so very much! I was concerned bc it feels so weird. Like a tummy growl coupled with gas pain. I'm also taking liquid lortab and trying my best to sit up versus laying down.
  15. Hello All, I was sleeved 6/13 and have been doing well. More sore than painful. Someone mentioned spasms. I think that's what I have. Can someone give any advice? When I drink there's a quick gas pain in my chest and after the liquid goes down the spasm stops. Should I call the Doc?
  16. Try standing for a while holding onto something to keep the circulation going. It's day 2 post op for me and I'm sore. I have a little shoulder pain from gas and when I drink I can feel it going down. Has anyone else experienced the weird sensation when drinking?
  17. Are you walking walking and walking?
