  1. Thank you everyone...I am around 800-900 calories per day. I just recently started exercising right after surgery my back went out. I didn't do anything out of the ordinary or outside my limitations. I went to the doctor and he told me that when you lose weight rapidly that your back tries to adjust to the new weight because your back adjusted to carry the extra weight now it haf to adjust back to normal. That was in August...back started feeling better in November then in December I was in a really bad car accident which threw my back out again. I am now getting to the place were it feels better so started walking and exercising.

  2. I had thick hair until I got ready to TTC when I came off birth control. My hair started falling out and then facial hair started growing. I tried for a year went to OB/GYN I knew she was going to tell me thay I had PCOS. Sure enough did ultrasound and bloodwork csme back positive for PCOS. That is the main reason I had the sleeve because of PCOS and still wanting to conceive. In the meantime I dont want to lose all my hair.

  3. Mrs. RRn Did you stay in Candlewood Suites? I think I remember seeing you. I can't get over what a difference. I live in Milton, Florida so I am not able to have regular check ups, but I call if I need anything. Dr. Borland did over the phone talks about progress in food stages and weight goals. I am happy with the surgery it's by far one of the best decisions I've have ever made. My husband is going to have the spsleeve and we'll more than likely use Dr. Borland again unless we find a surgeon closer to home bat a reasonable price.

  4. I went with Dr. Borland and had my surgery on 6/11/2013. I am now 4 months post op and I have lost 81lbs all together which includes 10lbs pre o diet. I'm sorry I didn't reply sooner. I am new and didn't see the notifications. How are you doing and did your surgery go well?

  5. I have started tryin for VSG for about 5 years. I am finally have it done with Dr. Borland in one week. I am excited an nervous all at the same time. The reason I have decide to have the VSG is because I have PCOS and have tried to get pregnant for around 6 years. We haven't been able to conceive even with Metformin, Provera, Colmid treatment. I changed OBGYN and she told me that she would refer me to a fertility specialist, but the first thing that he would want me to do is to lose weight. I started crying because if it was that simple I would've already done that and I explained to her I have tried every diet and excersise program know to man, but couldn't get the weight off. She said that it was the PCOS, but still needed to lose weight. That day I walked out of her office with tears in my eyes and decided that day I would have WLS. That was sometime February 2008. I since then have adopted 3 beautiful babies, they are my life, and I couldn't imagine my life without them. My husband and I love them so very much. I still would like to carry on my own. I am finally getting to have the surgery done next week. We are looking to complete our family with one more addition!

  6. I have my surgery booked with Dr. Kahlil Shillingford for 6/11/2013, but I found a Dr. Thomas Borland who is much closer to me. Dr. Shillingford's office is 12-13 hour drive one way, but Dr. Borland 6 hours one way. Can any of you tell me if you have used either doctor and your experiences?
