  1. I just got back from 2 weeks in Paris' date=' where I felt like the most enormous and dumpy thing on the street for wearing too big loose-fit boot cut jeans nearly every day.

So before I even left for home I ordered two styles of skinny Levis from Amazon, which were just delivered. And guess whose fat ass fits into a size 12 skinny jeans? Yup. ME!

I'm still bigger than all the size 0 Parisians I saw but at least I'm fashionable. ;-)[/quote']

Lol you are too funny my weight was 278 on June 10 which started my two week pre op on sx day 6/24 I was 262. Almost 4 months out I am 221 lbs. I found a pair of 13/14 jeans in my room that a friend had given my daughter who wears a 16. I clearly used to wear a 22. Just like you, I said I can't get this fat ass in those jeans. But guess my ass fooled me because iput them on without "sucking" that stomach which I still have to get down some more but they fit perfectly and gave me a booty lift (only in those jeans lol). But that inspires me so much. And you keep up the good work.

  2. If you are on your phone' date=' i have to go to the site on my phone (not the app) and chose to view the page in the full version (an option at the very bottom of the page). Once you do that, you should be able to attach pictures. Hope this helps[/quote']

    Thank you

  3. I'm so embarrassed by my before pics and I'm not even half way yet' date=' but thought I'd be brave, and share where I'm at. I'm 5'6, HW 230, CW 195 so 35 lbs down.

Went to see my PCP. The whole office gets excited when one of us has an appt because we usually accompany each other, and they're DYING to see our weight loss. :)

The doc said my husband and I had already had more success than some of her sleeved patients EVER see. That was a sobering thought and should scare us all into being diligent.

She congratulated us on being so proactive about it and said that our focus on health and activity was good because the people who put it back on are invariably focused on a short-term goal like fitting into a dress or going to a reunion.

She ordered me to stop obsessing, stop being as type A as I was, and to cut myself some slack. So I will try :) And my thyroid meds were reduced for the second time since surgery. Yay!

Ok I've blabbed long enough to delay posting my picture but here it goes.[/quote']

Look at you. You look great keep up the good work

  4. Today i sat in my car' date=' outside the gym in the parking lot, gripping the stiring wheel until my knuckles went white. I am embarrassed about the way I look, and how I think my body will look whilst exercising. I can just feel people staring at me thinking 'what is she doing here, I wish I didn't have to look at that.' I know that this is exactly where I need to be but I feel like such a novice that I sould be doing the work at home. The truth is I need to be shown what to do, I need help. I know I can't be the only one who feels this way. This is YEARS of social programing by angry teens, coworkers, and strangers, talking and joking about the way I look. How do you get over it? How do you push yourself through the door, in front of that cruelly accurate and huge mirror wall, and do classes? Just need some encouragment please![/quote']

Awe honey. Where do you live? I wish I could give you some encouragement. But don't worry be embarrassed about how you look just think it's someone a little worse than you buy just take the initiative to make that change love. Good luck

  7. That is awesome you have lost 47 lbs . I completely agree I feel the same way some says and at times realize that unless you have gone through or are going through this journey you can not know what we go through with the "new me" I use the Internet for different shake ideas it really does make a difference since I can't seem to tolerate a lot of food but I'm working on it

Thanks I'm going to try that and good luck on your success. I'm so proud of us all

  8. Got caught up on the recent posts so happy we have all continued to be blessed and are moving in a positive direction! I was sleeved 6/24 and down 41+ lbs I'm loving my sleeve had a few set backs but back on my way to moving forward on this journey I'm still a work in progress as we all are ! I'm just in from hiking my very first 5 miles I'm sore but feel alive ! Hoping everyone has a blessed Sunday and keep up the amazing job all!!

Wow I was sleeved on 6/24 and I'm down 47 lbs I'm 231 now. But some days I feel like I'm just fat as hell and other days I don't. I know I've lost the weight but others see it so well. Get compliments all day long. I just need help with getting in my Protein and my Water which I started to love before and after surgery now Im sick of it. Need new shake recipes. But Congrats on your success.

  9. Does anyone have any ideas on how to eyeball food amounts when eating out?

I have a Breakfast meeting coming up' date=' and I'm wondering how to figure out how to make sure I don't overeat.

I can only eat 1/4 cup max at a time, but it's not as if I can bring my measuring cups to the meeting to make sure I don't go over the amount.

At home- I measured out scrambled eggs and then put them in a tiny bowl, but that's not going to be happening at the restaurant.

I'm trying to avoid the foaming/queasy feeling that happens when overeating. Socially- I'd be a bit mortified if I had to food makes its way back up.[/quote']

I was sleeved on 6/24. Now when you go out just order one scramble egg, some Decaf tea or coffee. And take your time, talk in between. You'll be ok

  10. Thanks for all the responses! As far as going and NOT eating..I have managed to keep my surgery to myself with the exception of my hubby mom and dad...sorry I should have specified that because I have no problem NOT eating at a social gathering...did it today with parents...I was just looking for any food suggestions that I could try..again I will ask my nut..I printed out the menu and we will go over it...this is also a learning experience and I don't want to be alienated because of surgery..I want to live a normal life not sit at a restaurant sipping Water...a little awkward don't ya think

Well I'm 8 weeks out sleeved on 6/24 and at 4 1/2 weeks my husband and I spent the night out and it was@11p so we went to Dennys and i ordered an unsweetened Ice tea(added My own equal) had a tea cup of chicken noodle Soup, could only sip n chew vegetables and one order of one scramble egg. Couldn't finish the food and took my drink In a kids cup lol. But I was content with it. It gets better over time. Good luck
