  1. I'm 6 months out. I lost 100 (60 before sleeve ). I don't get. "Hungry" but my blood sugar gets low. I feel like I eat all day. I had the glucose tolerance test done. 1hr out the level was 352, 1/2hr later it was 158 and after 2hrd it was 117. I can't stand it when it crashed. Dr said low carbs no sugar. But I can't seem to get it stable. Any ideas?
  2. Sleeved 6 months a go. Can't do salad at all and stay away from raw veggies. Meat is also a problem. I do better with chopped beef from BBQ. I guess I can't get it chewed good enough. My pouch prefers softer foods.
  3. I'm 6 months out. A few weeks ago I started having feelings of low sugar. Had trouble with it all my life actually. Not diabetic but had the glucose tolerance test done two weeks ago. I was do sick. My levels were...at 1hour 352, 1/2 hr later 158, and 2hours out 117. Dr said I was glucose intolerant, which I've read is pre-diabetic. Dr said low carb and no sugar. I've been having trouble finding a meal plan to follow. I need a lot of guidance I guess. When my sugar hits bottom I eat everything I can get my hands on which is not correct I know but that crash is SO scary. Anyone have some ideas? Oh btw I've lost a total of 100 pounds ( 60 before the sleeve ) but have not lost anything in 3 months.
  4. I'm from Tyler. Sleeved in June. Dr Fox in Dallas did my surgery.
  5. I'm not a couple...although about 6 months ago I was ! Sleeved in June by Dr Fox in Dsllas. I'm from Tyler.
  6. Things worked out well. I found an insulated cup that is dark and covered with designs. You can't tell I'm not drinking Water. Got the routine down!
  7. How have things been? Up and down I'm sure. Just keep going and you'll do great. I'm 62. At first I wondered" Why do this at your age?" Then I figured,"Why not?" Hopefully I have another 20-30 years left!?! All my life I have survived one thing after another. Then Robin on Good Morning America changed my heart. She said stop surviving and start thriving. It was like I had been hit in the head with a 2x4. The light came on and I started taking steps to be a "thriver" instead of a surviver. You can do it too.
  8. I'm from Tyler. Dr Fox in Dallas did my surgery June 24.
  9. Thank you everyone for the support. Sometimes I feel very alone. It helps to get encouragement from fellow sleeves. Most people just don't understand!
  10. I tried Savella when I was first diagnosed and it messed with my blood pressure. I wonder if they're from the same family.
  11. Just got back from the Rhumatologist. He doesn't think my fatigue is from the fibro. He took blood to check anemia and thyroid, ( including T3 and T4 ,gave me a steroid shot and a prescript for nouvelle. I guess it's kind of like a stimulant. Anyone heard of it? Supposedly there are little side affects. So far I'm just as tired as before the shot. Had some lunch. Will rest a bit and then go visit my folks.
  12. Did you go back on the RA drugs?
  13. I started 1 1/2 years ago. I thought the weight loss would help the fibro and ostioarthritis. I had the surgery done because every time I ate regular food I would stop losing or gain again. Now with the sleeve as a tool I'm sure ill get the rest off.
  14. Seeing my rheumatologist tomorrow. The fibro has me so fatigued I can barely walk down the hall at school. I eat about 800 cal a day and my mom thinks I need more food. I see my surgeon Tuesday and will ask about that. I'm just SO tired. I was sleeved June 24 and have lost 35 pounds. I lost a lot before that on high protein ( mostly liquid) low carb. So I hit a big milestone this week...I've lost a total of 100 pounds!! I've about 50 to go. But I'm SO tired. Wish me luck that the dr has a magic cure tomorrow.
