1. I don't get it either. I teach 20 4 year olds all day and have meetings or run errands after school. I get home and unpack / pack my bag and lunch, fix supper, go thru the mail, set up my MEDS for the next day, feed the cat and dog, eat supper , and the cat sits only lap while I dose thu TV and go to bed at 9. Wow, I didn't realize how pathetic that was ! On week ends I try to see friends, walk the mall, nap...sometimes I sleep most of the day. Fibromyasia sucks. And this accident I was in just set me back. I know, I know...whoa is me,..suck it up!!!!

  2. Muscle relaxant didn't work. Woke up during the night PT yesterday almost killed me. But I did walk the halls at school today for 10. Now I'm using a heating pad to help get through the rest of the day (kids are napping ). Can't take muscle relaxers and teach 4 year olds.

  3. ❤️Yes I absolutely love spending time with her but it seems much more tiring than when my own kids were small. I feel I have more patience with her but at the same time I feel like she requires so much entertaining. I had three boys and I have decided that boys and girls are ao different at this age. She loves to go on walks but here in Texas we have been having extremely cold weather with lots of wind so outside walks will have to wait

I understand. Im in Tyler and it's COLD!!!

  4. Your welcome. Since I teach 4 year olds it was my first thought. Hope it works out. If it's warm enough to walk outside, you could go on "theme walks ". Together make a list of things you might see and walk around the block to see if you can find them. Young kiddos can't walk very far but it's a fun way too be and teach a healthy habit too. Sorry,..I'll get out of teaching mode. Ye for bed anyway. Have fun!

  5. Having similar problems. Christmas had been somewhat depressing since my son died 17 years ago at the age of 17. Things were harder this year because a week before Christmas I was T-boned and my car was totaled. I'm in physical therapy now ... Not seriously injured but hurt. I try to walk at least 10 minutes a day. Have fibromyalgia also. Tomorrow I go back to work, teaching 4 year olds. I need to get back to just Protein and veggies. Or maybe just Liquid Protein for a week or two. I was sleeved late June (lost 60 before) and 40 since surgery. But haven't lost anything in two weeks. Yuk.

  6. Walked 14 minutes today. The woods were awesome. Lower back and rt hip started hurting so I didnt go longer. Just glad I made my "at least 10 minutes" goal ! School starts again Monday. This will be a whole new ball game.

  7. I admire all of u with ur running. I've always wanted to run but was run over by a dump truck in 1962 and was never able to run after that. Years later with an artificial hip and fibro, I'll stick to my PT and walking. Going for a walk in the woods later today when I visit my family.

  8. U guys put me to shame! All this insanity is insane. I walked 30 min today at the mall...BEFORE PT...Just got back from that and running some errands. Have my new car so now I have to haggle with the ins co to getting medical/pain/suffering taken care of. That will be awhile yet. I wonder how much screwing up Christmas is worth. Time for a nap.

  9. Second day and I didn't walk. Cant believe it! My hair cut too long so I couldn't walk the mall before PT. After PT I hurt so bad I fell asleep in my chair and then off to a Sunday school party. At least I didn't over-eat and tomorrow is another day, right? If better walk before PT tomorrow.

  10. This thread actually inspired me to go cut up an orange and a lemon and fill a pitcher with Water to infuse it with the citrus and no sugar.

When all else fails, the strong start cooking their own healthy versions.

See what your thread did Sheila? :) thank you

You're welcome!! This all started because I made up a recipe for healthy egg custard. My sister (who likes all things organic and natural ) got the computer out when I mentioned I used Truvia. Btw the custard has 10 gms Protein. I guess the best thing is to become "hunters and gatherers" again. Sure sounds like a lot of work to me!

  11. I read articles about the evils of artificial sweeteners often. The media loves talking about their relation to cancer. They really freak me out! The FDA says most are "safe". I wish we had more concrete evidence on what's safe and what's not that safe.

I was a huge Splenda fan until approximately one year ago. I quit my 6-8 daily cups of coffee along with the 3-4 packets of Splenda that went along with each. I converted to Decaf herbal tea and use Stevia as my sweetener of choice. Supposedly not all Stevia sweeteners are created equal. Many are mixed with other ingredients. My personal favorite so far is NuNaturals Pure Liquid Vanilla Stevia, Alcohol Free.

Agreed. We have to read the labels. Sugar alcohol is different than artificial sweetener. It's a carb. And not good for us with blood sugar problems. I will probably look around for the liquid stevia. My fily really went nuts when my sister pulled out the computer and searched Truvia. We all thought it was natural. My mom had a fit. She thought she finally found the golden ticket!
