Getting pretty tired of sweet liquid goodies

I try to experiment to get different flavors. Last night I made butterscotch sf instant pudding with vanilla protein drink. It was awesome...tasted like Carmel. But it didn't set. Does any one know why? I used 2cups just like it calls for milk. -
That's a great idea! I'm going to try that. I might even freeze a protein drink. Thanks!

I eat cheese sticks, eggs, oatmeal, cream of wheat, Special K Protein, protein bars, cottage cheese, jello, pudding, grilled chicken, green beans, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, Lima beans, black bean soup, lentil soup, chic peas, refrained beans, cheddar cheese, Laughing Cow cheese, pumpkin custard, egg custard, greek yogurt protein drinks. I have trouble with meats. My stomach doesn't like them. I'm 8 weeks out. I wrote out a 14 day menu and change each day. Easy. Hope this helps.

Food that fills you the most and keeps you that way for a while
sheilarae replied to Im14fun's topic in Food and Nutrition
I found some recipes for sf custards. Some berrys, egg, and pumpkin. That sounds like a good breakfast to me. Quick and easy. One has 1whole egg and 5 egg whites...now that's got some protein!! I think I'll try to make one using vanilla protein shake instead of reg milk. -
Protein shakes vs protein powder

I like the premade drinks by EAS. They are at Walmart and cost about $1.25 a piece. Theyre choc, vanilla( my faves) and strawberry. They're soy based low carb with 100 calories abs 17 gm of protein. EAS also makes pretty good bars. -
How is your health otherwise? Do you feel good with lots of energy? I like all the suggestions I've read here, but don't forget that it's more than a number in the scale. Best wishes.

The custards sound good. I'm not liking solid food very much. I'd rather eat yogurt or cottage cheese. I have a pumpkin pudding I like...1 can pumpkin, 1 can evaporated skim milk, 1 small box sugar-free butterscotch pudding and then cinnamon to taste. Just mix it up. I was going to try it with vanilla protein drink but haven't yet. -
I use frozen veggies so I can take out one broccoli floret. I freeze everything in very one oz sizes. Today it was the rest of the refrained beans after I took out my 1/2 c serving. Didn't want to eat that all week!

Share your "slow loss" success!
sheilarae replied to clk's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
I am so thankful for this thread! I'm 7 weeks out and have only lost 5 lbs. I lost 20 during the month before surgery!!! I get in about 72 oz water, 75 gm protein, average 600 calories a day. Sometimes I wonder if I'm not eating enough but I get full after about 15 bites. I'm limiting myself to protein and veggies to help with a faster weight loss ( per drs idea ). That's what I ate before surgery. Any other ideas? -
I mean end of the day.

Same here. I went to grocery store and almost didn't make it through the check out. I hit a wall of fatigue. I'm 7 weeks out. My disability insurance gave me 6 weeks. I teach, too. My first day is next Friday. I've been gradually getting up early. Monday ill start getting up at 5:30 ... My usual time. Oh, I teach 4 year olds so I will be tired at the end of bathe day!

sheilarae replied to KayCTheNewMe's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My new favorite good is cottage cheese. I mix jello with it or sf pudding. Yum! I'm really craving pancakes at IHop!! I started back to school yesterday and passed up on the chips, and fruit chews. Next week they will be serving us breakfast two days. I know there will be bagels and cream cheese ...something else I'm craving. Help! -
