BMI 35 and insurance approved? ?
sheilarae replied to ReadyNewM3's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
My ins wouldn't even discuss it. I charged $12,000 to my credit card and did it any way. I've gone down two dress sizes and lost 35pounds so far in 3 months. I don't care about the debt. It's not as important as good health. -

Autoimmune Issues and VSG?
sheilarae replied to Tjohnson322's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Well school started this past week and as the week went on my back hurt and hurt. Wednesday morning I got out of bed and couldn't walk. I hobbled to the bathroom to take MEDS and put on an icy/hot patch. After an hour of hobbling and sitting. I got myself dressed and off to school. I even used my cane. The fibro was in full swing as was my arthritis. I've already decided that if it gets that painful this week I'm stopping at the Spine & Joint ER care. My pain level was a 10 for most of the day unless I was sitting. On a good note, I lost 4 ponds this week! I found jeans on sale for $7 so bought what I thought I wore and they were huge! I had a 3-day weekend and slept through most it but will begin again Tomorrow. -
Getting through a stall (per Caspanelli)
sheilarae replied to WeeWers's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I posted that during the summer when I was off work. I started back with kids this past week and I feel terrible. I'm 62,by the way. I teach 4 year olds and all week I couldn't walk when I got out if bed! I hobbled around the house for over an hour befor MEDS and an icy/hot patch on my lowere back made it even possible to get dressed. I'm frustrated too. I thought I would lose bookoo pounds in the beginning so going to back to school would be less painful. I was wrong. I lost 20 on the predict and after, 1 pound a week -

I'm 9 weeks out. I basically eat protein and a little veggies. But I'm finding it hard to give up my oatmeal. I cook two servings at a time so I can have a break in cooking...do the same with eggs and cream of wheat. What did your dr say about calorie limits? Mine said between 600-800. I've been sticking to that. Easy to do because I'm never hungry. Basically I eat by the clock because if I don't. I'd even eat less. Ive lost 1 pound a week since surgery, 20 the months before with the South Beach Phase one. I'm thinking I'm not eating enough calories. Ill bring it up to my dr in two weeks. But was curios about you all do.

I like Welches Lite peach juice and Oceanspray crab-lemonade. Sorry, I'm not a fan of apple juice.

I've never tried that. Sounds hokey but I may have to try it. I wonder if my ins will pay. How do I find one that's not a crazy? -

Kids start school Monday so ill know more then. Ill have 20 four year olds!! We've been in meetings this week and I've been having panic attacks. Tired of dealing with them on my own so my dr put me on an anxiety medicine. I start it tonight. Sure hope it helps. I have 3 more years before I can retire. -

I'm feeling pretty good. Got rid of 2 MEDS, have more energy, rarely feel hungry. I start teaching 4 year olds in a week. So the jury is still out regarding how I feel on the job. I'm going to miss my naps!! -
