  1. Hi everyone. I have not been on in awhile. I had my suregery Gatsric sleeve Nov of 2013, time has flew by. I started at 251 I am currently 166. My lightest weight was 146 in january of this year. I never had any major issues after the surgery alot has changed in my life. I have obviuosly gained 20 pounds from my ightest weight, but that is because i have went back to my old ways in eating and not exercising. Its hard yes, you have to be strong and committed. But all worth it and i do not to this day regret doing the surgery. I would love to get back to what I know is best for me before i start seeing all the weight creep back. Any ideas are welcome. Would love to hear from anyone. Thanks

  2. Hows all NOV 2013 sleevers doing? its become very quiet in here. At this point I am down 66 pounds from surgery, and have stayed at this weight of 155 ish for a while. Which im ok with. I have recently found that I have gallstones and elevated liver enzymes. I got back to the dr next week to discuss what to do from this point. I do not want to get another surgery, so I hope I have some options. Hope to hear from some of you and whats going on with you at this point.

  3. Hey everyone just wanted to leave a quick update. My Hair loss has now come to a stop, it lasted about 3 months. I am now 155. 221 day of surgery. Hope all November sleevers are Good! :)

We have a similar path, I was sleeved Nov 20, started at 211 down to 146, my hair loss started at 3 months exactly and has pretty much stopped thankfully! I cut my hair last week and now I can barely tell it's thin, the layering really helped! Here's a pic of my hubby and I last night at a wedding then I'll throw in a preop photo I just found on hubby's phone bc it shocked the crap out of me, I don't have many preop pics of me bc I got very camera shy towards the "end"

So proud to be a Nov 2013 Sleever!

You look great! And I love your dress! Dont think I could pull a dress off or maybe its all in my head. I was looking at pics recently of myself a year or so bfr surgery and cant believe how far i let myself go. I did not cut my hair could not do it. But Im so happy the hair loss finally stopped! Good luck on the rest of your journey:)

  4. Congrats! How excited you must be! Have to say I am envious... I remember seeing your posts right after surgery and around the holidays. They kept me going. I was 310 lbs on November 4th and last Saturday I weighed in at 230, so 80 lbs lost in just under 6 months. Without the sleeve I never would have been able to accomplish this. I just need to stay on track and try to be positive. You and all the others that are reaching your goals are what we that haven't strive to be... please keep posting and sharing!!

Hey everyone! I began this thread about 7 months ago, I can NOT believe how time has flew! I remember being so scared and worried questioning what I was about to do to myself. I can still say i am very happy that I got sleeved. I am down to 163 at this moment and my original goal weight was 160. Day of surgery i was 221. I feel great, i am still not doing my best with Protein and i have slipped from time to time with my eating habits. But I always try and remember this is for life! And I do not want to be where I was a year ago 2 years ago at my highest at 286 pounds. I am losing hair and have been for a couple months now, but i already knew it was something to be expected so I just try and get through it. I hope all November Sleevers are doing well, lets not forget about each other!!!

Hey I'm happy to hear your progress as well. Remember that I had a lot less to lose then you, so don't let my numbers fool you:) You have done great and will continue to do so! You are doing great on your exercise and Protein intake. Be very proud of yourself! You may think you still have a lot to go, but in no time you will be at goal. Don't get discouraged or look at it as so much, try and break it into smaller goals! I'm here to talk anytime you want... Good luck and keep us updated!

  7. Update: Im now at 169. 9 pounds away from original goal. I might want to change my goal to 150. I will see as time goes on. I am almost 5 months out. Down 52 pounds since surgery. 82 pounds from 14 months ago. And 117 pounds from my heaviest in Jan of 2012. I am still very happy about my decision and dont regret a thing! Hope all November 2013 sleevers are doing good! :)

  8. I had my first drink at 2 months, second and third drink between then n now. I am 3 months post op at this point. I drink Rum n coke, (I know I need to find a diff drink.) :P It burned my stomach and each time I got NO buzz! I just figured drinking is not for me anymore!! -_-

  9. I was so worried about bougie size prior to surgery 3 months ago, almost to the point i was going to use a different Dr. because he was using a bougie size 42f. But I ended doing my sleeve with him. And im happy I did, no problems and weight loss is great!

  10. ok, here is to everyone who is putting that they are a slow loser... no we are not. There may be some that are losing faster but we have all tried to lose weight on our own and not very often were we able to say we lost 30 lbs in 4, 5, 6, 7 weeks! If it were reversed and we were putting on the same weight in the same amount of time we would be freaking out cuz the weight was piling on. Don't discourage yourself. We have made a major physical alteration to our body and 2, 3, 4 months is not a lot of time to allow our body's to adapt. As long as you continue to lose in the long run that is the goal. Like many have said we didn't get this way overnight so cut yourself some slack. Stay positive!

I have this post printed out to myself... trust me there are days I need to listen to my own words!!

Keep up the good work everyone!

Thank You for posting that! I think some people need to see the positive side of this not look at it negatively!
