  1. Me too! Where are you located? I'm in MN so Central time.
  2. Congrats Texassky and happy surgiversary!
  3. My nervous feelings are turning to scared. My sister will be here tomorrow so that will hopefully make tomorrow go ok. I know I will not be sleeping a wink the night before. My check in is 5am.
  4. I am starting to gag on the shakes too. I did discover that CIB is good warmed like hot chocolate. I just ordered Unjury Unflavored too. I have heard good reviews on that and am hoping I will like it in Crystal Light. I also figured it will be nice to add to other items as I introduce new foods. Oh, I can't wait for full liquids. This pre-op stuff has been tough.
  5. I am also on day 5 and have only lost 2 lbs. I'm glad I'm not the only one not losing. I keep telling myself that my body will respond soon and I'll lose 20 lbs. in a day. :0
  6. Wow! I'm at 7 AM. What time are you? We will need to meet up once we are up cruising the halls.
  7. I'm in the metro area. Where was everyone sleeved? I'm 7/30 with Dr. Thomas Jones Park Nicollet Methodist.
  8. Forever a Cheesehead. I am currently in MN but grew up about an hour from Eau Claire. Livingforme2013, Are you in the Twin Cities area?
  9. I'm so saddened to hear your story. I am sobbing as I write this. I too lost a son. Tre would have been 18. I too turned to food for comfort and saw large weight gains in the years after he passed. I think our paths to this decision are similar. Each year you will have moments, it's ok to grieve as anniversaries of his passing, birthdays or other milestones occur. This past Spring was hard for me because he would have been 18 & graduating high school. Take the time to remember Jonny and celebrate the memories you have of him. You have one sweet angel walking along side of you and he is so proud pf you. Hugs...
  10. How many protein shakes are you on? My Dr. Has me doing 5 and I'm having a hard time fitting them in. I ended up doing my last two together last night.
  11. I hope You all are all doing ok on pre-op. I just tried something that's pretty good. I mixed about 4 oz V8 ( low sodium) with about 8 oz chicken broth. It was decent and something different.
  12. Thanks for your words of support. I had a blast! I am off to a good start on pre-op diet. I just finished making some sugar free Jello and doctoring up some broth with bouillon. Yum, I hope. ????
  13. I have a concert tonight for by boy band boyfriends NKOTB. Instead of dying with excitement I am worried about getting a table instead of a booth at dinner, fitting through the turnstiles at the concert, avoiding pictures with my friends and being too hot. I start my per-op diet tomorrow and surgery is 7/30. I know I made the right decision, can't wait to restart my life.
  14. Getting closer! I start per-op diet tomorrow, hope it goes well. I have a lot of activities planned for tomorrow to help keep me busy. How's it going for all of you?
  15. Just keep thinking of the healthier and happier life post op.
  16. I am also really nervous about the pre-op diet. I have to be on it for 9 days. I've heard the first couple of days are the hardest and once you get over that it's a breeze.
  17. Megancd, I agree, I think everything happens for a reason. At least it sounds like you will still be this month and now you can start your new life with us at the end of the month. It will be here before you know it.
  18. I'm so ready for this. We are going to kick some weight loss butt.
  19. I'm also July 30th and am glad to find another 7/30 buddy. My feelings are the same as you, excited and scared. Where are you located? I'm in MN.
  20. I just scheduled my surgery yesterday! July 30th, Minnesota with Dr. Jones, Park Nicollet Methodist Hospital.
