  1. You're down more than me. I'm down 24 since surgery but 54 since pre-op. good luck to you!
  2. I wasn't required to lose but in my 2 week pre-op diet I lost 30 lbs.
  3. Thanks, that was my reason for bariatric surgery was ending the yo-yo best of luck to you too!
  4. I dunno if ill ever make it to hot status but if I make it to healthy I'll be happy. :-) congrats on your loss! You're really kicking butt!
  5. I lost over 200 5-6 years ago and couldn't see it. I didn't was my head around it and I think it is why I gained it all back. I decided this time that I WILL go to a counselor for help with that. Obviously you've lost it so its time to SEE that you have. Good luck, maybe it is time to see a counselor too. Talk to your surgeon's office they certainly have a list of counselors that are familiar with issues bariatric patients face. I know mine did.
  6. The beautiful radiant smile on your face describes it pretty well! Keep up the great work and you'll get goal soon enough! Congrats!
  7. I was getting 64 oz of liquid the day after I came home. But I start sipping around 7am and finish around 9pm. I normally get about 72-80 ounces in a day.
  8. I wondered that too. We need more activity! How're you? I'm doing great, three weeks post op so far and over 50 down since starting pre op diet.
  9. Good luck, listen to your body and don't overdo it but definitely be up and moving around! :-)
  10. You stumbled onto one of the main reasons. It flushes your stomach when you drink as you eat allowing you to eat more and for your stomach to not have the time to break down the nutrients.
  11. Family with issues with the band, lots of anecdotal issues I've heard from others all lead me to the conclusion of the sleeve, then my doctor said flat out I don't recommend the band. In my nut class one week post op there were about 25 people in there for the 2 surgeons, only 1 bypass and 1 lap band. The rest were sleeve patients for a reason. It is successful and in general has less complications or room for complication. That proved I had made the right choice.
