  2. Quest just announced their newest bar. S'mores! Yum!! So excited.

  3. Had my first upper GI yesterday. First off COOL, and second, my sleeve is freakishly small. Not at all like the sleeve diagrams I've seen. More like a tube and no wider than my esophagus. So interesting to actually see it!

Persistent abdominal pain. >< I get a wave/spasm of pain in my upper stomach about every 30 mins to an hour. I had spasms right after surgery that were supposed to go away. But it's only getting worse and more frequent.. It's gnawing and is worst when my stomach's empty. My brain thinks it's hunger pains, so I want to eat my arm and I get very hangry. Eating doesn't relieve it though! I'll want to eat my arm again 30 mins later. It's more of a nuisance pain. Just bad enough to make me grimace and say "ow ow ow ow". It's not even bad enough to interrupt sleep. They've ruled out my gall bladder (ultrasound and HIDA scan), and they've ruled out strictures (CT scan and GI/barium swallow). I want to know what it is and have a fix! Next is an endoscopy to look for ulcers. If everything's normal on the inside too, the surgeon suggested exploratory laproscopic surgery to look at the outside. :(

I was prescribed a spasm medication that I take 4 times a day. This has helped a lot. I hope they figure out what is going on. Hope today you are doing better

Thanks! I think you're referring to hyoscyamine sulfate, which I do take as needed. Sublingual, right? It does seem to help. I asked the surgeon if some people's sleeve just don't like the surgery, if the spasming just doesn't go away sometimes, but they said absolutely it wasn't normal. Some days are better than others. Sometimes it's every 30 mins and sometimes I only notice it happening twice in a day. Today's been a low frequency day. :)

  4. I may have to walk this 5K this evening... Back to back personal training and boot camp on Thursday kicked by butt. My hamstrings are so tight and sore.

  5. HIDA scan came back normal. CT scan and upper GI next..

  6. Ow. Thought I was a textbook GERD case, but the surgeon is thinking my gallbladder isn't functioning. More tests and days of discomfort to come. :(

Very interesting! Please keep us posted!

  7. Only 10lbs til goal! I'm motivated to work extra hard in PT today.

  8. It was so hard not to run this morning. I have my second 5K event this evening, and I want to conserve energy. Can't believe I it this much and am now an almost daily jogger.

  9. Bummed about the new BP app. I'll almost definitely delete it because of the nuisance ads. I wish I could go back! If you're also aggravated by intrusive and pop-up ads, beware.

  10. Somebody pinch me! Officially normal BMI this morning. 24.77 :D

Thanks everyone! I've been overweight since I was 8 years old and went on to become morbidly obese. This is surreal. I wish you all the best of luck on your own weight loss journey!
