  1. I am desperately reaching out right now at this very moment. I know these forums are to be a support system but, this is all I really have and it is not helping me as much as I need it too. My husband, bless his heart, is being as supportive as he can. He is a negative thinker when it comes to drastic measures like this. "It is surgery, you can die," he says. "I want to live the rest of my life with you," he says. He is a long story to explain. I understand what he is saying and I want to live right along with him until we are old and grey (well, we've already started the grey part, LOL). But, I won't make it to being old when carrying around an extra 100 pounds with me. He has seen me going on countless diets, sign-up for many gym memberships, he's seen me losing weight and he's seen me crash and burn. I won’t make this long as I will get to the point. I live in the New Port Richey area and am REALLY looking for a female friend who hasn’t had the surgery yet or who has had the surgery and may be all along like I am. Possibly live nearby so we can help one another go through this together. As I said, I am all alone and I’m scared to be alone in this journey. I know it is the right thing for me to do and I need to be with people who are on the same boat as I am. It is very hard for me to get support even from my family as they are too busy in their own lives. Okay, this is my S.O.S. please reach out to me; you know who you are…
  2. Yes me too, will be reading it quite often for referencing. Have a great day and good luck
  3. Thank you very much for the story of your details. This will help me along with all the readings I have done to help me with my journey.
  4. Entertainment my dear. We are living vicariously through Pokeychic and the daily loves that come and go.
  5. My grandparents and aunt & uncle lived in Absecon NJ. They have all since passed. I loved Jersey and miss the seasons.
  6. Keep up buttering, there's so much I'm learning from Pokeychic. Team Pokeychic!!!!
  7. Port Richey---used to live in fort Myers a month ago
  8. I think pokey chic is just being a romantic, lol. You go right ahead pokey chic and enjoy your men...
  9. I ordered Duc Vuong book by kindle on my iPhone and laptop yesterday. I can't put it down, I read every minute I get. I like his book. Also got the Emotional First Aid as well. Will start that one very soon. Thank you for your advise.
  10. I'm the 25th too. Dr. Jessee at Palms of Pasadena, good luck to you.
  11. Wow, there is an app for that. I put it on my phone just now, thank you for the information.
  12. I just signed up on My Fitness Pal and wow, this is cool how it knows the calorie, sodium, fat, etc. An tells you how many calories a day you should eat to lose weight each week. It's better to lose a pound a week than to gain 2. I know you can have friends follow along with you so I invite anyone who wants to be my pal to find me at "Journey2Life." Thank you I need all the friends and encouragement as well.
  13. I like your "nothing changes" poem you have. How true it is
