  1. Diana89131 good luck tomorrow i will be praying for you. Can't believe it's finally here.
  2. Got my surgery time today. 9am Friday morning. So excited. I meet with the surgeon in the morning for final talk and weigh in.
  3. I can't believe the day is almost here I'm so ready it's going to be a long 4 days
  4. First goal is to go clothes shopping at wal-mart. Then I want to get under 300lbs. From that point on its just a lets just see how far we can go type of thing.
  5. Ready for Friday. Excited and nervous at the same time this has been a long road finally see the light at the end of the tunnel
  6. Yeah the liquid diet does put you in the right mind set and its only tough for the first couple of days. My surgeon had protein shakes I could buy but they cost $40 for a case of 30 I went to The Vitamin Shopee and got a tub of the powder for $35 last about the same amount of time but if you get the powder you can mix it with skim milk to add more flavor also with fruit to make smoothies. And I get the "what if's" everybody has those I think at least I have. Just got to keep thinking positive and remember why you chose to do this.

    HELP! Protein shake who?

I got iso100 vanilla flavor and I really like it going to try a couple other flavors and even mix them to create combos. It has 25gm protein per serving and 0 carbs and 0 sugar
  8. Also I forgot to mention if you haven't already gotten a protein supplement try Iso100 it had 25gm of protein per serving with no carbs or sugar and doesn't taste that bad. I actually like it. I mix it with skim milk it's not bad. Hope this info helps
  9. Not scared my nerves are kind of bad I just want it to get here already. The fact you don't have to do a liquid diet makes me jealous although after the first two days it really didn't effect me all that much.
  10. I am also getting my surgery on May 31st. Are you on a pre-op liquid diet that's been the hardest part for me. After six months of nutrition meetings and diet finally getting this done. The psych evaluation was probably the strangest thing I've ever done.
  11. My nerves are starting to kick in. The pre-op liquid diet is rough but I'm slowly getting used to it. When I started this journey in December I weighed in at 485 lbs now 8 days away from my surgery I weigh 450 lbs. I just found this site and I'm so glad I did I just wanted somewhere to share my story with people who know what it's like. My family had been really supportive but there is only do much they can do because they don't understand what it's like.
