  1. Single in Chicago. I actually ended a seven-year relationship a few months before my surgery. It would have been convenient to have someone help me schlep stuff and what not' date=' but he was such a negative person in my life that frankly I'd rather face the whole process alone! I see my post-sleeve time as a chance to recover from the surgery and the relationship--not in any big hurry to date again![/quote']

Hey there welcome to the club :)

  2. Wish there was a magic pill or whatever to make this whole date crap not so very craptastic. But at least we can chat with eachother.

I'm single too and it kind of sucks and kind of doesn't. It sucks when you're lonely and you just want "your person"' date=' the one that is yours and you share the highs and lows of life with. It doesn't suck when you have to hear all the horror stories from others about the sh*tty side of dating.

However, better a sh*tty day in paradise than working right? Lol.

And it's all well and good that I'm under 200 now, down 117 since surgery (11/20/12) but try still being almost 6 feet tall. I will NEVER be petite and guys want small, which I cannot change my height so that leaves me S.O.L.

And BTW acting nurse...you should have no problem whatsoever. Very handsome indeed.[/quote']

Not all guys want really small women lol

  3. I used to be a notorious bad poke when doing blood tests as a formerly really obese guy. 3-4 tries in both arms' date=' failing and then having to take it from the hand. Ouch! Now, my veins are very visible on both my forearms after months and months of training . I doubt the nurse will ever have a problem again. I will be known as "the good poke" by all the nurses. Lol.[/quote']

I hope my exes think I was a good poke...

  4. I pretty much eat what I want. I can't say I 'cheat' per se' date=' but I have the occasional Cheeto, a fun size candy bar or an Oreo, if my carbs allow me. I eat a lot of meat and cheese and still have my Protein Shakes. I have given up bread and rice and eat very little Pasta (whole grain only). I had a 1/4 cup of Fruity Pebbles the other day and that was enough to fill me up :) I don't feel like I'm restricted from the type of food, just the amount I eat. I was sleeved on 05/06/13 and I'm 52 lbs down![/quote']

    You look so pretty! Amazing
