Hi I'm two weeks out Tommorow. My doctor okayed soft foods starting yesterday. Soft scrambled egg is good choice for me. I did try pintos and cheese it was ok for me no problems but I ate it slow and in several sittings I have had a few bites of mashed potatoe. That's about all the soft I've done, but in my opinion I know what to eat, but at this point I can't drink my protein shakes, I can't drink enough fluids, and if I have :2 bites of potatoe at least I'm getting a little something in my body. I can't hardly eat or drink anything as hard as I try to make myself.

Hi I'm 12 days out.had some complications and had to go back in hospital. I have been home a few days but still can not get out of bed or my recliner by myself. Pain is easing up some bit still bad enough. I can't hardly drink a cup of liquid a day. How are you guys making it. Most of you sound like your doing wonderful what do I need to do?
-
Yea I still have pain meds, have cut back some. My moms been here by my side and pushing fluids, it's just do hard to drink. In the hospital they wouldn't let me have anything but ice chips for 3 days( second time in). I know I need it. I'm trying. I know it will get better.

Hi I had surgery Monday morning. I hurt extremely ad afterwards. Stayed 2 nights in the hospital. Still Hurting real bad when I came home. Called and the nurse told me to take 3 Advil liquid gels every 8 hours round the clock for 2 days. I have been doing that. And today I was feeling better so I sat up front in the living room and held my twins some sitting down, button little boy pounced on my stomach when I wasn't watching, now I'm in a lot of pain, stomach all swollen, any suggestions for some relief?

Hi just updating j ended up in the hospital Saturday night. Had infection and my body rejecting the drain tube. He removed the drain tube and let me have something to drink for the first time since I've been here. Been on 2 antibiotics and lots of pain meds.
-
Hi they did give liquid pain med but small bottle. I took it along with the Advil but its not letting up at all. I'm the morning I may have to call them. They said they'd rather call them than go to emergency room cause they are not that familiar

Today is day 4 of liquid diet. Surgery is Monday.i will say the first day I made it thru pretty good. It by the end of the second day, I had excruciating headache. Day 3 was so much better. I felt better, had more energy so I'm hoping these last few days go by pretty good as well. Hope everyone else is doing well.

Hi I am curious as to why everyone chose to do The sleeve now at this point in their lives. As for me, I have twins that are 20 months old. That is my number one reason. I need to be there with them, for them growing up. Enjoy playing with them, doing projects, just living a normal healthy lifestyle. Second reason is my health. I have asthma, sleep apnea, and a restrictive lung disease. If I don't get this weight off I won't be there for my kids. And then 3 rd is for myself. I want to feel good again, feel good about myself, what I wear, what I look like. It's been long enough.

Don't give up on having a baby I was 260 of so when I got pregnant with my twins. Doctors here never said a word about my weight. I had what they called unexplained infertility and I went they fertility treatment. I also had a friend that lost a lot of weight and got pregnant right away. So keep trying and good luck to you.

Help Me! Drowning in BROTH!
rhonda2006 replied to kjordan83's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi. I will be going on liquids starting Monday, surgery is the following Monday on the 8 th. I know I'll be facing the same issues as you all are but just wanted to share, the doctor told me the reason for liquids a few days pre op is because they don't want your stomach working trying to process food when you go in for surgery. I too, will have jello, sugar free pops, sugar free drinks, chicken broth( except I bought the better than billion in a jar you mix). I read it was better so I tested it out already. It is better than a box or can to me. Just remember it will be all worth it in the end. -
Hi I'm waiting for my approval from the insurance. I need to loose 200 lbs for my goal and was wondering since the weight for most seems to drop drastically fast, how does your skin react? Does it shrink too, or yih have excess baggage?

When you here that surgery date it's like reality kicks in. This is real and it's really going to happen. I'm both super excited and super nervous all in one.
