lexi6510 replied to SanDiegoSunshine's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thank you. I literally have stalled three times in a month. I lost 14 pounds the first week then 6 pounds over the last three weeks. I'm ok with it...I just sometimes with it would be steady. I stall for 4-5 days then I lose a half pound the n stall again for 4-5 days then lose a pound for two days. Its just odd. But I'm happy to be losing slow because noone except my family kmows I had surgery. So hopefully I don't get that bobble head look. Lol oh and my scale does ounces and I watch those ounces closely. Haha I drink only Water. I've slways loved wster so its ok with me. I added sugar free koolaid packets like twice since surgery just to try but I prefer my water. I have only over eaten once and didn't throw up but was miserable. I ate out with inlaws tonight and had to play it off since I had my whole plate of food left. Lol but I eat in moderation and very healthy. Im starting to get comments sayinh it looks like I've lost weight so that makes me feel fabulousss!!! Hood luck to u too. -

lexi6510 replied to mariadt's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
If you did the surgery to get healthy then why not try to quit smoking for your health??? I quit...3 months ago. A month and a half before surgery...and I feel much better. Its easier to excercise. -

I pulled mine out last night. You just have to slightly tug on it for a little while. Once it comes out it feels so much better. -

lexi6510 replied to Dee White's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It is kinda true. I know not EVERY single persin that weighs more will lose more...but they tend to lose a lot more in the first month than people that weigh less. Its actually a fact -

The more you weigh the more you'll lose...so definitely don't compare to everyone on here. But I like to get an idea of where everyone else is also. I'm 4 weeks out and lost 20 pounds as of this morning. -

Noone except my family knows about my surgery. I'm losing slow so it has not been drastic -
I didn't eat much of anything for the first three days. It gets better trust me. I ate ice chips and it felt like I was taking huge bites of food. My dr said resting was more important than anything the first few days.

Hitting a weight loss plateau this soon?
lexi6510 replied to thebearishere's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I too find the more I eat the more the scale moves. I'm only a month out from having surgery and I've had two long dreaded stalls so, I would try to cut back on foods and it never worked. Psychologically its hard to believe that the more we eat the more we'll lose...but undoubtedly its true. I ate almost 1200 calories yesterday and BAM this morning the scale moved again. Tadahhhh -

I'm on my second stall and I just had surgery may 15th. My first stall lasted5 days then I lost a few pounds within a week then BAM another stall...going on day 6. I lost one pound yesterday and nothing again. Its frustrating but can't quit so just keep pushing. -

Wow how did u lose so much so fast? -
You made the right choice!!! Especially for your age. You are still young. Good luck and I hope you have 100% success

Sometimes you lose when u do eat more. Dont try to eat less so u can lose because your body will store fat. Just keep following dr instructions and u should be fine.

Well it makes me feel a little better. I know I don't have as much weight to lose so it takes longer. Its still frustrating and scary though. I was miserable at 205. I coupdnt believe I had let myself get over 200 pounds. But I'm under now and never going back. My first goal is165. Second goal is 130. Hoping I can get there by december. -

lexi6510 replied to Kitkat101484's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Our weight was the same starting weight. I was sleeved on May 15th so I'm hoping by my 12 week mark I'm down 40 or so pounds. I hit 19 pounds lost this morning.
