should i have the lapband surgery?
coyotegirl replied to pattyblueeyes's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I would get the band again IN A HEART BEAT!!! Even if I lost my band tomorrow (oh please God no) I would still think it was all worth it! I am a preschool teacher of 30 three year olds and I was back to work the following week of surgery. I would have gone back sooner but it was Thanksgiving and the school was closed. Send that packet in! Go to some seminars! Go talk to a surgeon! Keep researching. I have been banded for over a year and a half an have had no complication at all. (fingers are staying crossed) Good luck!! -
Great job Michelle, I knew you could do it!!!!!!! :huggie:

coyotegirl replied to Jaxwaqu's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Hi. sorry I don't have any answers for any of your questions but I wanted to say Hi and Welcome to LBT from another AZ Bandster! :jaw: -
I may be sorry for asking this..........
coyotegirl replied to Bettina's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Bettina, I would do it again in a heart beat!!! Of course I am one of the lucky ones and have had NO complications other than 2 over fills. But they are easly taken care of. and I've had some terrible BP's but I still have no regrets. I know there are some that are sorry they got the band but for me the good far, far, far outweigh the bad. It's a tough decission to make because it isn't a for sure weight loss. It's lots of work. I still have to watch what I eat. Dieting is not out of my life and never will be. I just take this journey one day at time. I love my band!! Good luck!!! -

For those already banded, do you count calories?
coyotegirl replied to sleepyjean's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I count my calories, fat and protein everyday!! -
Richard Simons has a tape/dvd out for people who are wheelchair bound or just have limited mobility. I think it is called "sittin' to the oldies" or something like that. Personaly I didn't care for it. He was just too goofy for me in this one. I love his other tapes but cant get up and dance because of my spinal disease. I have the tape but not sure where. I am sure it is still here somewhere collecting dust. I'll have to see if I can find it and then I will post the correct name for you all. He also has one called "stretching to the classics" That one is pretty good. As for me, I do 10 min. of my own form of tie bo(sp) sitting on my bed every morning and every night. I also do sit ups on my bed with my legs hanging off and holding a 10lb weight. Then 3 days a week I use my stationary bike for 20 min. when I ride my bike I usually wear my sauna suit so I will sweat. (I don't sweat unless I have this on)
