    Total NSV

Was in a regular size lingerie store today and found some super cute PJs. Asked the sales girl how they fit and said that I seem to be fitting into a size large. She says "well I'm a size 10 and you are about the same size as me, so I'd get the medium." I had to fight back tears and the urge to kiss her full on the lips...lol WOO HOO!

You can find them at costco or health food stores or even grocery stores in the vitamins. They are the enzymes that help you stomach properly use food and my clinic swears by them for weightloss. You take them when you eat.

    hello

You're probably detoxing and will feel look a new person in 2 days. That's how it was for me anyway. 4 days of detox and then smooth sailing. The more water you get the faster you detox.

    Help! I need help!

I recommend you imagine what you had done to your stomach (which is pretty brutal if you think about it seriously), and then truly consider why you don't want to stay on track...maybe you could find a support group or a professional who could help you with this as it sounds like some self sabotage happening. You can do this. You've taken the first few serious steps...now take it all the way

If I was a horse, they'd shoot me

Where do you live? I'll be right over to help you out with that Every day is a new adventure after surgery. It's a total relearning, at least it was for me, and some days even now at 7 weeks out, I find it annoying sometimes. But I look great, and my knees feel so much better (which was the point), I can suck it up. Get yourself a bigger drinking glass so you don't have to move and make sure to get your water. when you get sick of water find something else you are allowed and like to drink. Your strength will come back. Move around too, that will speed up your healing and if you feel like crap, it's just one more thing you can be proud of yourself for on this journey. You can do this and those first few weeks will be a distant memory in no time. Chin up, and remember...you are not a sick horse.

    Sleeping but not rested?

    Straws

I'm not supposed to ever use a straw again and in the beginning I tried and it cause gas discomfort. I am almost 6 weeks out and can use a straw, but have to not over drink. Seems to be working fine. I get more water when I use my straw thermos.

    Metformin post surgery

yeah, almost everyone hits the 3 week stall. You didn't need to change anything, just wait it out. You will stall. It lets your body catch up to your weightloss. Your loss most likely had nothing to do with the metformin.

    preop test?

does it involve math, because if my surgery had depended on my math skills I'd have been screwed! Good luck!!
  20. It gets better when you exercise. My first 3 weeks when everyone was hiding from the heat and sun I would go stand outside just to warm up, leave the AC off in the car...I just couldn't seem to get warm. But now that I'm losing slower and have started exercising, it's much better!

    Week 3 GAIN!

    Eating before surgery?

food in your stomach increases the chance of aspirating stuff into your lungs and dying during surgery...no joke. There is more than one reason they put you an clear liquids for a few days and that is one of them. This is a very serious matter and don't let your addiction further harm your health. Sorry to be harsh, but if you're willing to put yourself at such risk over a meal maybe you're not ready for this surgery.
