Oops didn't finish. Okay so I couldn't drink Water, warm or cold. Ice chips did not work, tried otter pops and water from that I couldn't keep down , tried Crystal Light still couldn't keep that down. Finally,I found vita-water 0 calorie and that worked, small sips for the first week or so. Also Walmart sells propel which has zero calories in that and that helped as well. Good luck, I know you are probably very thirsty and I know how it sucks not to be able to drink water (I used to be an avid water drinker). When I did a Google search I found out that water is to dense for us right now and that's why having it mixed with something can help a lot.

I had the same fears. But post surgery I really don't need to see a doc, unless I start to feel bad. I did need my antibiotics in liquid form so I just went to Urgent Care for that and it was fine

I would wait for sure if it's going to be anywhere that has a lot of fat. I have a very large peace on my arm shoulder and back and it already has become a little distorted since I've gained weight +before the surgery)

This is my doctors nutrition page on his website. There are several PDF files that you can open and print' date=' each explaining facts on nutrition after bariactric surgery, phase 1 post-op to phase 5 post-op (each phase tells you the # of days), and there is even one on dumping syndrome.http://www.lonestarsurgical.com/nutrition/#nutrition
Hope this helps.[/quote']
This is perfect! Thank you so much!!!

I got my surgery in mexico, the only juice they had was full of sugar, mostly apple, they also gave us otter pops and broth. I couldn't keep Water down, I tried ice too, I couldn't even eat the otter pops because of the water. So I did apple juice, broth and vitiwater for 5 days. Now back home, I'm on the same pattern only with good apple juice and ice pops that are low sugar.

I know the doctor gives you a post op diet but why is it different from another doctor? They give you the same one that they give to everybody else regardless of the surgery. So do I really need to follow the one my doctor gave me? I don't feel it's as important as following one of the diets especially because what they gave me in the hospital was loaded with sugar and carbs, the diet on paper they gave me said don't do this. (My surgery was done in Mexico, so i cant talk to the doctor). I'm day 10 and in need of something other than Clear Liquids. I see a lot of diets where you can have oatmeal and eggs after 3 to 7 days.

I can't believe I actually just wrote that, let alone that it's true. I never thought I would be able to get sleeved, but did some homework and found hospital Jerusalem in Mexico who would perform the surgery on me. I started at 220 and am down 14 pounds on day 8. I'm shocked. I was very excited at first but had a rough time afterward. I had tremendously, really bad acid reflux the first few days. It hasvot much better just some here in there and when I drink cold. I stayed in Mexico for 5 days, 2 too many. The nurses we're not really nurses and no one seemed to know what they were asked a question. The biggest thing was that they didn't understand, even when they say they do. It was really bad. Back home now and trying to figure things out .

How much Protein and calories should I be having or intake in a day at two and a half weeks and does that change or is it the same for the next year? Also is this realistic, are you able to do it and if so what is your diet like?
