  1. So... the hospital just called and stated that "For insurance purposes" I need to schedule a weigh in class next month... UGH!!!!! July 3rd is the date... The dreaded wait continues !!!!!

GUESS WHAT??... THATS NEXT WEDNESDAY...SAYING NEXT MONTH MAKES IT SOUND & SEEM SO FAR OFF.. BE PATIENT GRASSHOPPER :)

WE WOULD RATHER FOR THEM TO COVER EVERY GROUND, CROSS ALL "I'S: AND DOT ALL "T'S" SO THAT THERE IS NO PROBLEM & NO DENIAL (I KNOW I SAID IT BACKWARDS)

  2. post-350809-13813141466604_thumb.jpg

    Before

    post-350334-13813141467206_thumb.jpg

    After

My Breakfast, 1 slice of bacon and a homemade veggie egg foo young patty (bean sprouts, bell pepper, green onions, and mushrooms)

I'm not an egg girl in the sense that I don't like omelets, boiled eggs, scrambled eggs. So this is the best way for me to eat an egg.

As you can see, I ate maybe half. Georgette ( my sleeve) is really doing her job.

LOOKS GOOD.. IF YOU MADE IT, RECIPE PLEAS E AND THANK U :)

  3. From recalling your pre surgery views it seems to me you were determined to regret this surgery before you even had it and I can not work out why you proceeded with it to be honest.

Thing is, you have done it now. There is little point in regret as it is not like you can go back and undo it. You made a choice and now you have to learn to work with the consequences of that choice. Only you can do that and it will involve changing the way you feel about it. Your feelings are your within your power to choose and you can. choose to feel differently about it all.

You don't have to be on these boards for more than a week before hearing all about stalls, especially at 3 weeks. You know this stuff already. What is it you are seeking to achieve by writing this OP? Is it attention you are after? Validation?

I know I seem harsh and I know I am blunt. I don't often notice posters, I more read the content than check to see who is saying it, so recurrent posters don't often stand out for me. But you have and I have to say it isn't in a positive way. I am noticing recurrent posts of negativity and really all of that is going to lead to self sabotage of your sleeve and, basically, a miserable life. Why choose to be miserable when you can choose to be happy?

Of course your clothes don't fit right, you just had bariatric surgery.

Of course your body shape is changing rapidly, you just had bariatric surgery.

Of course you can't eat what you want, you just had bariatric surgery.

Of course exercise feels hard right now, you just had bariatric surgery.

So you look dishevelled? Do something about it. Do your hair, give yourself a mani/pedi and a facial if you can't afford to get one done professionally. Choose not to look dishevelled.

Clothes hang loose? Use a belt, use a scarf, use a needle and cotton, use your head and use google for ideas on how to turn what you have into something that looks good and feels comfortable for little to no cost.

Choices. You have them. And make them knowing that you have to live with the consequences of the choices you make. Just like you now have to live with the consequences of making the choice to have bariatric surgery. You have to live with your decision, Janice, so you may as well chose to live happily.

    Very well said...

  6. News flash! White meat chicken is not our friend for post- op sleevers.

Laurie had informed us in class that white meat chicken tends to be too dry for us sleevers, unless you have a way to make it very juicy, to go with dark meat. So yesterday I decided that I would finally cook. Got out the good ole crockpot, frozen chicken tenders, spices, liquid smoke, chicken stock, and barbecue sauce. House is smelling, chicken looking good. I'm thinking " oh yes" it's on. Trying eating it, tasting delish, go to swallow and then it happened. The darn chicken was stuck in my chest for which seemed like eternity. Sooooooo depressing. So now my best friend is happy cause she received a container full of barbecued chicken. So I went to the store and bought ground turkey and made homemade meatballs. I'm good to go now.

DANG WISH I CUD OF GOT THAT MEAL...LOL

YEAH THEY WERE SAYIN TO USE GRAVY OR SOMETHING TO MAKE IT MOIST.. BUT OTHER THAN THAT NO PAIN OR ANYTHING GOING DOWN? HOW SMALL OF AN AMOUNT OF food ARE YOU OR NEED T O CHEW ON AT A TIME?

  12. So yesterday' date=' everything got very real. I'm a food addict and vsg is like extreme detox for a person with a drug detox. I was bad yesterday ( this is a learning process and I will take it one day at a time.) I had been out yesterday for about 4hrs or so and was starving. Fell into old habits and went to Popeyes. So my plan was to order a shrimp box, figured even though it was fried it wouldn't be too bad since I can't eat that much. Well I also ordered some nuggets( which are really pellets) just incase I couldn't eat the shrimp. I ended eating one nugget, one shrimp, three fries, I was STUFFED.[/quote']

Thats fine, u didnt eat much & ur human, ur going to mess up, thats a giving. Like they said the surgery is on ur stomach not ur head...

When goin out try packin up something to eat on, that way u r not starvin & wont have u making bad choices. I see that planning/preparing in advance helps me (my mind) stay focused...

  13. I saw Laurie for the group meeting and Dr. Nagle for my follow up yesterday afternoon. Dr. Nagle is concerned about some pain issues I'm having with pills and food hurting when I swallow' date=' but he thinks it's going to resolve over time. I follow up with him again in 2 weeks. I love my sleeve, and I know the rest of you that are still pre-op will love yours, too. <3

If you haven't checked out The Protein Bar yet on the second floor, they have some really yummy things we can eat. I'm here this morning with my boyfriend for a medical appointment, and got a Denver Scramble. I could only eat about two little medicine cups, but it sure was tasty and a nice change from liquids.[/quote']

    How far out r u?

I havent try the protein bar yet another sleever told me the calories where to high down there.. May check it out for myself
