I am from Chicago and I hope to be having my surgery at University of Chicago. I am waiting on approval from the insurance company and then it will be set a date. I am very excited due to reading about all the success everyone is having but I am also very vervous about the surgery and fear of failing due to so many diets have failed. But I am keeping the faith and being calm.

I hope u recieve word soon about ur approval.. Its only natural to feel that way if u r a person that has tried just about n e thing.. Think positive, u'll do fine.., u can do it

This is my first week back to work since surgery 6/3. Luckily my first two days I worked from home. Today is my first day in the office....not a bad day. My mom bought me a bday cake yesterday ( actual bday is 7/18 )she said she wanted to catch me in a good mood before returning to the office. Lol

I thanked her for the cake and then told her to take it to her house. She gave me a funny look. I was like " um thank you' date=' but georgette can only have about a fork full of all of that yumminess."

I talked to Stephanie a little while ago ... She said that I "should" have a answer anytime this week. I tried calling my insurance company... I got transferred and put on hold so many times. This is seriously driving me crazy...

Hey Bettyboo...

I didnt need a referral i guess it depends on ur insurance.. I attended the seminar. There is a info sheet that needs to b filled out & turned in. Once they go over that info they will contact u to schedule ur 1st appt with the nurse practitioner. The np will have u do lab work

U then need to see the dietitian & psychologist the order doesnt matter but gettin approval from the dietitian will get u into the classes faster then seein psych 1st .. After my 1st pre op class I meet with the surgeon.. After that 3 more classes, submit to my insurance for approval.. By fourth class u SHOULD have ur surgery date.. After that n e pre op testing thats necessary for u

It hit me when I received the call from Stephanie stating I was approved and scheduled my surgery. I was excited' date=' anxious, and nervous combined. It was the night before surgery when I had the big hit, "oh snap, I'm having surgery". Until that moment, I think I had just been going through the motions.[/quote']

Hey people...Just got home from my weigh in class... It lasted about 10-15 minutes which was cool. Today my info will be submitted to the insurance company.... Almost at the finish line... WOOHOO !!!!

1 can bean sprouts (I prefer fresh, but I keep a can on stand by)

1 cup egg substitute

3 oz chopped crimini mushrooms

1/4 cup green onions

1/4 cup chopped bell peppers

1/2 tsp chopped garlic

2 T soy sauce

Sautee mushrooms, bell peppers, green onions, and garlic. In a bowl add egg, bean sprouts, soy sauce, and sautéed veggies.

Heat a skillet with a little olive oil, spoon the mixture in to pan to size you want the patty. Brown on both sides.

Because I eat small portions now, I was able to make 10 patties
