DONT STRESS URSELF OUT . WAIT TIL IT HAPPENS, JUST THINK WHAT IF U GET THOSE 22 OR 20 AND U SLIP PAST IT WITHIN A WEEK. NOW UVE WASTED MONEY.

Returning to work after short-term disability, going through the emails sent to you while you were out, and finding the one that says your approved return to work date is not today but a week later. :D :D

Just left Dr. Nagle's office ... He & his staff are so cool AND!!!! From the sound of it, I should be scheduled for July !!! Worst case scenario would be August but not likely ... I'm so happy today!!!

My nutritionist sucked. He basically kept trying to sell me medifast shakes and told me that surgery wasn't the way to lose weight. I just yesed him to death so he'd write my approval letter.

Yea i been seeing her from the beggining but i guess she thought i was only going to here for her to help me lose weight..na i just needed her to fill out my paperwork...i wanted to slap the piss out of her. she just like everyone else think its the easy way out .

Get this app called " Couch 2 5k" ... I downloaded it last week but I'm going to try it out today... Also get a pedometer ' date=' mine has motivated me to move more... I get at least 1 mile in per day. I'm very competitive with my self. I TRY to do better than the day before. Trust me, I do get sore but no pain no gain right?[/quote']

Cool ill check it out I've been using map my walk app.. It lets me know my route, miles, calories burned,etc..

ooow Im sooo glad I didnt have him then.. he was booked out til august and I did schedule for him but kinsinger had 5/31 once I got in touch with them, i cancelled with the quickness.. smh

I was actually afraid to do my psych eval because of a lady in my pre op class... She said he would not approve her for surgery and that she needed 5 more sessions with him . But when I got there, he asked a bunch of questions concerning my kids, parents & marriage . Then when I would try to answer his questions he would cut me off... Every time I spoke he cut me off. So after a while I said to myself just shut up or I'll have to come back for 5 sessions too... I got approved !!! Then he says I'm here if you need me... My reply was ill see you in the halls.

THAT WOULD OF PISSED ME OFF, I WOULD OF BEEN LIKE UMM DUDE CAN I SPEAK PLEASE?.. WAS THIS DR PETERSON??? I SAW DR KINSINGER, SHE WAS PRETTY COOL, SERIOUS AND START TO THE POINT SHE ASKED ALOT ABOUT THE SAME RELATIONSHIPS WITH FAMILY AND OTHERS. I WAS JUST GLAD WHEN SHE SAID OK IF U NEED TO COME BACK FOR ANY REASON HIT ME UP, I WAS UP AND OUT.

Good morning everyone, today I go for my first post op visit with Laurie and Dr. Hungness. I will let you all know how that goes and what to expect. I still can't believe how fast time flies.

IT REALLY IS FLYING BY.. WE'LL BE WAITING!

I got word from Aetna that I am approved after only 6 days! I was worried it would take alot longer or something would be wrong. Now' date=' next Tuesday 16th I have my pre surgery testing, upper GI, EKG, bloodwork and Xray. If all of those come back fine, I will finally be scheduled for surgery. I'm hoping for the week of May 6th or 13th. I started this journey in November of last year with an information session at the South Mississippi Surgical Weight Loss Center in Ocean Springs. Everyone there has been remarkable. I'm so excited but also terrified, the surgery is real now, if that makes any sense.[/quote']

Congratz! & it mAkes perfect sense ur getting so close reality is setting in.. For me im in the beginning of my 6 mo diet so it doesnt seem so real but once i get to ur point i know i may start freakin out a lil..

Youtube is a great another great resource and support for pre op and post op VSG'ers. I subscribe to many different people and follow their weight loss journey which is how I found out about this VSG forum. I haven't posted any videos because I feel a little self conscience but maybe at the end of my journey' date=' I will be able to post before and after pics.
