I hope everything works out for you. I've seen too many people be let down by their insurance at the last minute. Sad

I had to have mine done 8 months post sleeve. It was a one day in and out and was similar to my sleeve surgery, the recovery was similar also aside from the diet. Might give you an idea what to expect with the sleeve.

I've seen a lot about this lately. I want to give it a try. Where did you get the coconut oil?

I had a one night stay. Was a little nauseas from the anesthesia but no too bad. I walked a little but slept most of the time. Every time they put pain meds in my IV I passed out.

I had the band in mind on my first appointment and my doctor asked me why. He told me the sleeve was a better long term option for my age (33) and that 25% of bands are being removed due to complications. 25% was too high of a number for me and I am so glad I went with the band.

I'm in South Jersey was sleeved 05/06/2013 in Atlantic city by Dr. Patel. He and his staff made me comfortable through the whole process. Down 80lbs , 10 more to go. Only negative to the surgery was I had to have my gull bladder removed 8 months post op. No biggie though.

I had read on here that acid could be the reason I had hunger pains so often so I called my doctor to ask for something to help. He said that is not true if I have hunger pains its because I am hungry not acid.

I was absolutely pissed because they put my picture in the paper(after I begged them not to) for co-chairing an event that raised $5,000 for a new transport van for the local veterans home. When I realized how upset I was over a picture and that i was willing to not take credit for all the work, I knew I had to do something.

I told my parent the day before. Not because they would be against it but because I didn't want to answer a million questions before the big day.

Does that mean vodka is okay. Lol only joking.
That's what I drank that day and cranberry. Lol

The day before my surgery was Cinco De mayo and my doctor told me to go ahead and have a couple drinks as long as they were Clear Liquids.< /p>

Congrats on your new beginning. I'm 5 months post op and have never had food get stuck. It's just like eating before the sleeve just a lot less if it.

Keep track of your mileage to and from doctors appointment and the pharmacy. You can claim it.Oh, keep a little note book with dates, mileage, co-pays, Makes it easier to keep track of.

My attacks were far worse than labor. It felt tlike I couldnt breathe' date=' I vomitted 3 different times, and got the sweats. I couldnt stand, sit, or bend. There was no relief. Its felt on the right side of my chest under my breast and my back. Its a sharp stabbing pain. They lasted from a few minites to hours before getting help. Nothing eould relieve it but lots of pain meds and timd[/quote']I had this happen last week. Exactly the same symptoms. When I described it to my husband I said it was far worse than labor pains. I'm glad I have idea now what it may be. Scared me to death.

I love seeing before and after pics. I am always amazed how much younger everyone looks in their after pics.

I thought the same thing. I'm 5 months out and still forget and take a sip while I'm eating and every time it hurts. You'd think I would have learned by now. Old habits are hard to break.
What happens to the girls ?

I was worried about that myself. I started a 44DD and 10 months later I'm a 38DD. I was large chested when I was young and not overweight so I had a feeling they weren't going anywhere.
