  1. Also, I have bad acid reflux. I did have an upper GI which showed the damage from the acid and stretched sleeve.

I have to wait until aug. 15 to see my doctor. I'm worried. Like you, I would love to make it to 150. I could easily guzzel 32oz of Water or eat a large pizza and I don't think it would come back up.( Sorry if that's TMI ) but I just don't have the restriction. Don't get me wrong, I don't want to go around throwing up all the time but dang! ????

  2. Wow a week and a day and I'm approved for my revision! I had the sleeve done on 12/16/12 and I'm going for bypass on 8/18/14, due to gerd and a stretched sleeve. My weight lose was around 40 lbs with the sleeve and I've actually gained 15 of it. I started off at 239 post op, current weight 206, lowest weight since sleeve 189 (for about a day).

I was sleeved july 29,2013 and I am almost the exact same as you. I haven't seen my surgeon yet but I have never felt restriction. I don't know about the gerd but I have reflux (I always have) & I have to take two prilosec otc a day. I'm honestly so embarrest because my lowest weight was 187 in December and now I fluctuate between 198-203. My highest weight was 231 July 3,2013.

  3. Leena I'm July 8 as well and have had the same thing happen. Feels like once I hit 189 everything slowed down. My goal is 125 and it feels so far (I'm at 166 now). I'm the same with the discipline...I need a lot more focus and I have days where I just can't eat.

I had my surgery July 29. I have been fluctuating with the SAME 3-5 lbs since December. I've been doing cardio and weight training so I upped my calories from 800 to 1000. What's everyone else doing? I'm stuck & frustrated. I'm wondering if I 'broke' my sleeve.

  4. I was sleeved yesterday & I'm here at Baylor Plano sipping away... I hope everyone is doing well

This cracks me up- I don't remember posting this, LOL! I made it home from the hospital & all is well but when the nurse was pulling the drain tube I almost passed out. For some reason the tube was stuck. After a shot of morphine & deep breaths, the RN pulled it out.

  5. Has anyone been diagnoised with gastroparesis and still sleeved? I had my EGD yesterday and the doctor said I may have this. Next Monday I have to have an upper G.I. and on Tuesday I have to have a gastric emptying test. My surgery is set for Monday the 29. I've been on my 2 week pre-op diet since Monday. I have no idea if I'll get to have my surgery or not or even be able to talk to my surgeon until NEXT Thursday because he's on vacation. Needless to say, the office wasn't really helpful and when I asked if I needed to stay on this pre-op diet all I was told is " I would." Nice. So I have nobody to answer my questions AND I'm starving!!!!

    Any insight would be great,

  6. Ooh yay! Keep in touch! What are your stats? I think it would be neat to find someone with similar proportions having surgery around the same time. I am 5 foot 4 and 246 pounds. Can't wait for what lies ahead ;)

We need to! I'm 5'6 & 231. I start my pre~op diet on Monday & I have an EGD on Wednesday tge 17th.

  7. Hey all I have my EDG scheduled for tomorrow at 12 PST and right now my anxiety on a scale of 1-10 I'm a 10+ can anyone help me and tell me what I can expect before during and after? Thanks.

I wish I could help but I have mine scheduled for the 17th and I'm pretty freaked out. My sister had one & she said it's easy. She said they put a little thing in your mouth ( for the thing to go in) & you lay down then they are waking you up. She said you are just fine the rest of the day & it's like taking a good nap. I hope this helps you. :-)

  8. I am sooo deflated with this whole thing.. I am sooo over it.. the doctor's office has such a non-shalont attitude about things. I have called and emailed a million times trying to figure out if they changed the code with insurance… I just got of the phone with insurance and a whole new claim has to be submitted by the doctor.. and I got a nasty email from the insurance lady at the doctor’s office earlier saying that she is busy and she can’t submit my stuff this week because she is covering vacations and she has more important things to do that pertain to some patients that have potential life threatening issues not a procedure that is elective.. :’(

My vent.... I am a planner.. I have two small kids' date=' a full time career, I volunteer a lot, and I have things and other obligations that I need to move around when it comes to surgery. I want this more than anything.. and it is driving me crazy not being able to plan things down to a T.. I have to have some sort of plan.. I won't have to worry about loosing my hair 3-4 months post-op.. I am going to pull it all out now.. :'([/quote']

That stinks. I know what you mean, we spend so much time researching & then trying to hurry up and get through the process. It seems like it takes forever!!!!
