I think you should be fine. Just no bending or lifting for the first couple weeks. Talk to your doc.

I'm making it by by reminding myself that I will be able to enjoy pretty much anything again in moderation very soon. That these few weeks will be nothing in just a few more.

I was sleeved on the 20th and I'm doing great!! I'm down almost 25 lbs. No problems on anything food wise. The pureed food this week is going nicely! My only problem is not getting enough liquids/protein. The Protein Shakes make me really nauseas for some reason. Been trying little things here and there a little more solid and nothing seems to bother me! I was back to work exactly 7 days later and been working since. Fortunately I work at the hospital where I had my surgery so they are so accommodating.

My surgeon said fingers and toes. It does have something to do with pulse ox.

Just depends on your insurance. I've only had to pay $250 out of pocket. Fortunately I am employed at the hospital where I had my surgery. My surgery itself was about 32,000 because of complications. I'm 3 weeks post op. Started at 320. Day of surgery (May 20th) 313. Today 295. So things are going great!

This was all so helpful ladies. I start my soft diet Sunday so hoping I'll understand the feelings you both described then! I started at 320, surgery day was 313, and as of today I'm 299! So exciting!

Its post op day 7 for me! I'm having the HARDEST time telling if I'm full or not! I don't want to over do it but I feel hungry and nothing seems to satisfy it! Am I the only one who has experienced this? And how do I cope with it??

I had my surgery on Monday! Had a little complication and lost about 3 pints of blood! Was discharged last night and slept in the recliner at home! Pain isn't as bad today. Just weak from the blood loss. But all will get better! I was excited to get home and start my full liquids. Got up walked around the house and made my own Breakfast consisting of a Protein Shake and oatmeal. I was surprised oatmeal is considered full liquid. But it's great to have something with a little texture.

So I set my surgery day for May 20!! I'm nervous but so excited that so much of life is getting ready to open up to me!! Any tips anyone can give me? This liver reduction diet is so hard! But I'm working through it.
May sleevers results so far!
