  1. I wish I liked coffee but yuck, I don't!
  2. I'm scheduled for July 16th. I was given a list of pre-op tests to have done. My PCP is concerned about my heart and now wants to consult with my cardiologist. That wasn't worrisome enough. One of the blood tests came back showing my liver enzymes are high. Now I am asked to have an ultrasound to look closer at the liver. I asked the Dr if we shouldn't just assume that I have a fatty liver because I am fat but he said no. We need to check for a mass. I am crossing fingers and toes that this all works out and things go on as scheduled. I started my pre-op diet a week in advance to try to shrink my liver, we'll see. Sheesh, it's always something!
  3. While my surgeon did say absolutely no carbonated drinks he doesn't hold that opinion of caffeine. When I told him I had also given up caffeine he said I didn't have to. He said caffeine is perfectly fine.
  4. Thank you! That sounds more like it
  5. Could you please post what your meal plan is? Mine is for 1200 calories and I know I will not lose on that, I never have. I plan to start to or row. It's a week early but I need a jump on this.
  6. Sorry=So stupid predictive text
  7. Yes, I'm so excited and so ready to be on the other side of this thing! 6 months in sounds like a good place to look forward to. I really he that it all works out well for you and you get your sleeve very soon.
  8. Lol, Dr Nick just like you ; )
  9. No, it's the 16th. I didn't realize I typed the 26th. I edited it, don't want to jinx myself lol.
  10. Congrats! That has to be an amazing feeling.
  11. Is it a liquid diet? My pre-op diet will not be liquids as I thought. It consists of protein shake and bars and a healthy dinner. It comes to 1200 calories a day. I don't lose weight at 1200 calories a day. That is why diets haven't worked for me. I kept trying to keep my calls under 1000 to get somewhere but after weeks of nothing or losing 2 and regaining 1 the next week I gave up.
  12. That's great! I'm so happy for you. Do you just love Dr Nick? I'm coming in behind you on the 16th.
  13. Kami63, do you have an update? Will the Dr do both or you at the same time?
  14. The last time I wore a bikini I was in 4th grade. I was self conscious even then. I look back at pics from that time and I see I wasn't fat but in my mind I was.
  15. So true! I doubt that any of us when our time is over will say "if only I had eaten one more Boston cream pie." We only get one shot at this life thing. I for one am ready to start making the most of it.
  16. I haven't had my surgery yet however I have seen the surgeon twice and have my after care folder. I recall reading in it that there is an internal stitch, a sort of tack stitch. It says it may be uncomfortable or painful for a time a week or 2 after surgery. It says that as some point when lifting, sneezing etc it will release. When it does I will feel a pop/tear sort of feeling then relief. The pain may be from a tack stitch like that. Maybe you could ask him about it. It says heating pads might help.
  17. Take this flab and shove it I ain't wearin' it no more Maybe I took a slight liberty with the lyrics
  18. I'm so sorry you're having a tough time of it.
