Well I feel a little better! It is crazy that all doctors are so different!
Keep us updated on your progress waltd... I'm going say a little prayer for my stomach nerves to bring me some restriction!

Lol I wrote almost the same thing at about the same time! <img src='http://www.bariatricpal.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
I think a lot of people wrote that as a matter of fact.. It will come' date=' the restriction that is.
Like I said before its a combo of things swollen stomach nerves endings but fully up and running yet (numb) and soft "slider" type foods.
When you hit a more regular diet and add dense Protein trust me you will feel it <img src='http://www.bariatricpal.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />[/quote']
Okay, good to know because I was kind of freaking out. Lol! For lunch I had 5 meatballs and still not much restriction.. Then supper I had shredded chicken and still no pain. Today I introduced these foods and was waiting for pain or some weird feeling... But none! Just hope I'm not the freak that vsg doesn't work on or something!
Am I sounding a little manic yet? Everything is making me worry, whew.

Hi Tanya! Welcome!
I probably can't help much.. But will say..
Ive been here a while and have only read horrible things about the band..
I had the sleeve surgery 6 days ago and am ready to go back to work. And I'm a hair dresser..
It was a piece of cake!---well, not as good as cake would be right now, but you get the picture.
My doc doesn't use drains.. I had sugery on Tuesday, was home wednesday.. And only took pain meds to sleep.
I shopped today, cooked my fiancé supper, and cleaned house! I've lost 15 lbs so far... And soo happy with my decision!
Do the sleeve!!!!!!!

Someone else will have to post that's farther out then me******

Someone else I'll have to newer that's further out then me.. But I don't think dumping is a real problem with the sleeve.. It's more common with gastric bypass..
-
Wow! I'm so glad they caught it sooner then later! I wish you the best, and keep us updated!

My 3 month prep period (whay my insurance calls it)was a joke...
Required :
3 month documented exercise program
Meet w nut once a month.
Documentation from my primary doc once a month about me discussing weight loss surgery
And a physc eval
Doc told me to join a gym and check in once a week at least so at the end I can get paperwork from gym saying my check in time.. He even said I don't have to work out if I don't wanna... Just go check in lol
My nut was in his office and I would go in once a month and she would say something like.. Okay next month try to eat less carbs.. I would come back and she would say Ohh You gained weight (bc i did) but I'll put you ate less carbs bc u did right? With a smile... Then document that... And then tell me to drink less calorie drinks... Then I'd come back and she'd say... Ohhhh you drank less calories, right? Then document that..
The dr I used was suggested by my surgeon... So she would ask me a few questions ab the surgery in 5 min.. And say ok.. I'll document we chatted ab vsg.. Then I'd leave..
Then dr recommended physc eval... It was same thing.. He asked me easy 10 questions then said good luck with surgery!
I gained 8 lbs at the end and my dr said... Oh no prob.. We just send in your starting weight....
So don't stress! You'll be fine!

Today was my first day of full liquids' date=' I've had applesauce. It hurts if I take too many sips and I get air stuck a lot, or at least that's what it feels like. The pain has been a huge battle for me, but today was finally my turning point. I feel like I've just done way too many sit ups. Ice is my friend on 2 of my 5 incisions. I'm just glad that I'm starting to feel human again.[/quote']
I do get the same air in my stomach a lot too. Almost feels like its rolling in there.. Sharp pain.. Then completely fine!

My stomach is doing great.. My mind.. Idk! I cried this morning bc I felt sorry for myself and wanted to eat..lol
I have really had no pain at all! No problem with drinking stuff.. Just hate the Protein shakes and I'm already sick of cream Soups.. So I'm not getting in enough Protein at all and at certain times of the day I feel soooo weak! What are you eating?
