Jeffie Beck, my list does have that, but I bet every doctor/nut has a different list. Just as they do for Pre-op/ Post-op instructions. I wish you the best and I think you were very brave to share your experience here. It helped me to realize that head hunger could really get the best of me some day and I need to have a plan for that day.

I am kind of scared for you. Hot dogs are on the list of foods that you should avoid forever. Please call your doctor, ok? And please let us know what your doctor says.

What's a troll?

Two ideas: Smelling is a sensory activity. Try to learn to smell something good as a separate activity from eating. Like the wonderful smell after a rain, just smelling ________ (fill in the blank with your favorite food smell) can be a sensory treat in and of itself. Give yourself a pep talk such as: "being thin feels better than _____ (fill in the blank) tastes." :-)

I drink Isopure Zero Carb Alpine Punch and Grape Frost. They are clear liquid like Gatorade and they have 15 grams of protein for 60 calories. I think they taste great!

I know! I love THAT Cancun too! I start my Pre-op "liver shrink" diet in two days. I will be on that for 12 days, then the next day - surgery! I am so excited and it is so weird because I'm not scared or nervous at all. I just CAN'T WAIT! I am going to MX because I am a self-pay. I researched for about 2 years before I finally decided to go for it and during that time the whole WLS focus changed from Lapband to VSG - so really I'm glad I waited (procrastinated) because the sleeve is a much better option for me.
