    Another stall!

I'm almost 4 months out and have hit several stalls, but they all break. I'm a stair step loser. Stalls are frustrating to say the least, but they do break. It's very normal.

    Hair Loss

I'm 3 1/2 months out and haven't lost hair yet. I always get 60-80 grams of protein daily. The medical term for this kind of hair loss is Telogen Effluvium. It seems more people experience this than not.

    Out of work

I took 3 weeks, but 4 would have been ideal.

    Emotional Eating

Im right there with you. I'm 3 months post-op and am struggling with this so much. Very depressed and lots of anxiety.

    Revising from Sleeve to Bypass...

I know someone who had the bypass and another who had the DS. They both eat around their new stomachs.
  6. Yes! These are what I cannot tolerate anymore...anything that ends in "itol". They seem to be hidden in a lot of things you would not expect.
  7. This happened to me 3 times while inpatient and twice after I was home. Now I'm battling severe constipation and have been for about 6 weeks. I would love to find a middle ground at this point! I'm 3 months post-op.
  8. I can't tolerate them at all since surgery. They give me stomach pain, bloating and gas. I have to read labels very carefully now.

    The bad and the ugly

The good: I'm 10 weeks out. I'm off all blood pressure meds and have been since 1 month post-op. I can cross my legs comfortably. I can paint my toenails without getting short of breath. I can go up 4 flights of stairs easily...no sweating, no shortness of breath. I haven't been this weight in 15 years. I've gone from a size snug 20 pants and 2XL shirts to size 18 pants (almost getting into 16s comfortably) and size large shirts. The bad: I had a splenic infarction post-op (lost blood flow to 20% of my spleen due to a clot). I started to get sick with chills, high fever and severe left upper quadrant pain four hours after I was discharged and was readmitted for 2 more days because of it. I've fully recovered since. I lost control of my bowels at least 3 times immediately post-op in the hospital and it was diarrhea. Very humiliating. It happened at home at least twice as well. I have since learned to never trust a fart! I had a lot of incision pain. I struggle with Water intake. I struggle every day with constipation. I hate the loose skin that used to be my double chin. It makes me look and feel old. Do I want the double chin back...NO! Do I regret it? Sometimes. But then I think of all the good that has come from it. I can finally see light at the end of the tunnel.

    2 hours

3 meals a day and no snacking per my doctor's plan.
  11. No, I can't. I try to imagine it, but it seems so far off. I'm 10 weeks out and have 68 pounds to go.

I Bought A Magic Bullet At Costco

I have one and love it! It is very easy to clean also.

    Hair loss

The medical term for this is Telogen Effluvium. I'm not sure if it is avoidable or not. I'm 10 weeks out and haven't experienced this yet. I've come to terms that it most likely will happen. I just bought the Organix shampoo with biotin and collagen. It won't stop the hair loss, but it is supposed to make hair look fuller and thicker. I always get in all my protein so I'm curious to see if I can avoid hair loss.
  14. I have chronic low back pain too. It got better post-op, but since incorporating exercise, it has come back. It isn't as bad as pre-op, but still bothersome. I'm going to start going to PT soon.

    First day of c25k

My pain specialist told me today not to jog for a while. I'm going to PT to get my lower back in better shape. Meanwhile, I'll keep doing my brisk walks and stair climbing.
  16. My surgery was the day after yours and I'm down 32# also. I think we are doing great and we can't compare ourselves to others or we could get discouraged. Yay for us!!
  17. Update: surgery 4/23 and down 32#. I've had many NSV's also. Feeling good!

    Post OP Day 3

It is really hard at first. I'm 10 weeks out and still can only takes small amounts of fluid at a time. I miss gulping water when I'm thirsty! It will be a full time job to get those liquids in for a couple weeks. It will get better though.

    First day of c25k

No, I didn't read that, but I am taking a break today due to a lot of lower back soreness (chronic ongoing issue). I'd also like to know if anyone else feels like they will pee their pants while jogging lol. It has been pretty uncomfortable.
  20. You did it right...heat the water first.
  21. I forgot to add that when I made it, I used water and it was good. I've never used milk in it though.
  22. Yes, don't overheat it or it will get chunky and disgusting. I found this out in the hospital when they overheated it. It was horrible.

    First day of c25k

I started yesterday and finished up day 2 a few minutes ago. I can't even believe I'm able to do this!

    Fiber help plesse

I sent a message into the Dietitian today, but haven't heard back yet. Yes, it is consistent diarrhea every time I take it. There seems to be no happy medium. It is very difficult to get out without taking MOM and I mostly don't feel the urge. I could go several days without the urge. It is like my motility has decreased.
