I bought a 32 oz bottle and I try to sip on it all day long. Count in an addition 3 shakes of 4 oz each (I can't drink more)' date=' that puts me at 44, and then I try to drink one g-2 which puts me at 56, and then maybe 2 broths or Popsicle etc..you have to keep adding up the totals in your head through the day. If you're tracking on My fitness pal, it's easier to keep track of the liquids there. The big bottle really helps though.[/quote']

How do you measure your Fluid intake? My surgeon wants me at 64oz postop, and I have no idea how I'm going to measure the fluid.

Any advice? :-)

Started my clear liquids today for my surgery on Monday it's pretty hard and not fun and after drinking red crystal light it freaked me out a little lol

Hello to my fellow August sleevers!!! I haven't checked in lately. I went to my surgeon's office for my final weigh-in today. I'm down 9LBS on my 2-week pre-op diet.

August 12th sleevers we're next up to bat on Monday! *screams* I go in at 5:30am and surgery is set for 7:30. I'm not too nervous; my faith & support system keeps me strong. My prayers are with all of my sleeve sisters & brothers!

Good luck to those who are post-op and current/future pre-op dieters. :-)

Yes, it is! I'm not nervous yet! Just taking my 2-week pre-op diet day by day. You'll be fine! Just RESEARCH until you know as much as possible.

I went to school at Kean University, so I'm very familiar with Northern Jersey.

I'm from New Jersey! I live in West Windsor (near Princeton). My surgery date is 8/12. :-)

I start my 2wk liquid diet Monday 8-5. I have surgery on the 19th... I have to go find a Protein shake that will not make me sick. Artificial sweeteners make me very nauseous give me Migraines. Wish me luck! !

Maybe you should speak with your surgeon or NUT for their suggestions. You don't want to spend money on shakes that make you ill. Good luck!

I'm 6 days into my 2-week pre-op diet (surgery date 8/12). It's certainly not easy, but I haven't had many thoughts about cheating. I'm allowed 4 Protein shakes, a salad for lunch, veggies for dinner and unlimited SF Jello and Popsicles.

Whatever you do, don't give in. It's not worth it. If you need a buddy or extra support, feel free to message me.

Very disappointed. Today I had my EKG and apparently there was a change from the one in March. I am worried about my heart. Don't know what happened to cause the change. I'm not showing any signs or symptoms for what ever the doctor saw. But to top it all off' date=' my surgery has been canceled for Monday 8/5 till some time in mid September (hopefully). I have to take a stress test. Yes I'm upset about the surgery but more concerned about my heart. So I am officially no longer a August sleever :'([/quote']

I'm so sorry! Everything happens for a reason. Stay positive! Complete the required tests and pray. Your health is more important than a surgery date. Check out the September sleevers thread and continue to keep in touch with us. Good luck!!!

I'm on Day 5 (being sleeved 8/12). I've been fine all week long. I had a bit of a test today when I went to happy hour with my coworkers. But, I happily sipped on my Protein Shake at a local sports bar. :-)
