I feel so left out of some forums because I do not have a surgery date yet! LOL I meet with my surgeon again next Friday, June 7th. I will NOT walk out of his office without MY DATE!!!! Hehe #FingersCrossed4July

Congrats!!! We're almost there! I had my psych eval yesterday. It was VERY quick (5 mins max) and straightforward while he filled out the required paperwork for my surgeon! LOL Not complaining one bit!!

Can I just say I was on edge about my visit today with the NUT but I totally love her! She kept it real & is down to earth.

Found out I don't have to do a two wk liquid pre op diet & instead of a surgery date in december' date=' Im looking at Oct! Who hooo! :-)

I would make the appointment as soon as possible. It took me a month to get in with my cardiologist.

Yay!!! I just made my appointment for tomorrow! Now, I'll have all of my requirements complete by next week when I see my surgeon. Hoping for July!!!!

I've been going back and forth for two years now with my decision. I've always allowed other people's opinions to sway my final decision. But, I grew tired of my doctors telling me to lose weight and paying so much money to WW only to give up after a 20lbs lost (twice). I'm currently 300lbs w/ no known health concerns, 5ft 7in, and BMI 47. I'll be 28 y/o in July!

I'm so addicted to this forum too.... I read and read and read and read some more I love hearing other people's experiences so I am fully prepared I'm starting my liquid diet early because I need to lose 10 pounds pre op... I'm only starting two days early... But I have done Protein shake diet for nine months before with only having a light dinner... But it was optional now the liquid diet is mandatory Which is playing head games with me.. Lol... I Should be fine!

You'll be fine!!!! Just envision a slimmer and healthier you during this phase!!!

Being able to wear high heel shoes w/o pain

Not resting my arms on my stomach (may miss this one, lol)

Being more active with my 5 y/o son

Not worrying if I'm able to fit in a seat or bench

Walking pass the plus size section = cuter clothes... and not buying wide width shoes

Not worrying about "what's for lunch or dinner" at 10AM! lol

Nope! I check in periodically throughout the day and I've been sleeved for 14 months. There are some really great members. It is a great site! I'm glad u found a place for info and support.

Am I the only person addicted to this site?! LOL It's so motivating!!! All of my pre-op requirements will be completed by next week (minus my cardiology consult)!! This would be my last requirement that I'll have to complete. My surgeon would like me to visit the cardiologist 1 month before surgery. But I'm just unsure if I should wait until I have a surgery date before I schedule this appt. I meet with my surgeon again 6/7.

My doc called and i miss her call she was gonna give me my date they summit to the insurance company next week...so i have to call her tomorrow and tell her i def want June....yes i live in Burlington...willingboro is right across the way WE ARE ON OUR WAY LADY!!! Yaaaay for all of us!!

Well my doc just called me and hit me with a curve ball i didn't realize seeing a pulmonary Dr and a pft were different i thought the pulmonary Dr was doing the pft so o thought it was together smh so now my.last requirement will be done June 7 ugh Im so upset

It's okay! Just keep the faith! June 7th will be here in no time! That's actually the date I visit my surgeon after all of my pre-op appts! Tomorrow is my endo! Good luck to you!

PS- Are you living in South Jersey? I think I read that in another post. lol If so, I live in West Windsor (near Princeton) and I work in Willingboro.
