That's great! I'm happy that you were able to get through it. Keep going! It's preparing you for what's to come.

Try contacting your surgeon's office to see what they advise. Also, contact the office where you submitted your passport application and let them know what's going on.

Awww don't be so hard on yourself. It was a mistake! Now it's time to move on and continue on the path to the losers' bench.

Hi everyone! There are quite a few of us who are being sleeved on 8/12 (YAY!). With only one month left, let's follow each others' progression before and after sleeve-land.

What are you doing to prepare for your pre-op diet?

Monday August 12th here- just found out 30 min ago! I have a mix of emotions- I know I'm doing the right thing for me- just scared of surgery since it will be my first!

Yay!! Congrats! We have the same date!! You'll be fine! Just look forward to seeing those amazing results!

I had no complications but at 4-5 days out I didn't feel like doing anything but staying in bed. It all depends on your pain level/med intake and how exhausted your body is after so much trauma.

I don't handle pain very well...so I'll probably feel the same way.

I am scheduled to have my surgery on July 15th 2013. I received my insurance approval last week and i have a vacation planned for July19th. I was wondering how peope felt recovery-wise after the surgery. Will I be able to take my vacation 4 days after surgery???? I dont plan on doing anything strenuous' date=' just relaxing and probably a bit of walking.[/quote']

I'm was wondering the same thing. My surgery is scheduled for August 12th and a relative's wedding is August 17th.

I am very very tired and sore. I slept a lot yesterday. Everything from walking to shifting positions etc is taxing. Going upstairs makes me dizzy. Hungry a lot. Gas pain finally subsiding. Another thing- get the gas x chewables or the strips. Worth it's weight in gold.

Harder than I thought it would be but I'm hanging in.... Can't wait to eat again.

I got my surgery date today: August 13. My VSG will be performed by Dr. Hans Schmidt at Hackensack University Medical Center in NJ. Very excited to be through the insurance approval process (got denied twice - finally won on appeal!) and starting the pre-surgical period!

Yay!!! I got my date today! I was initially aiming for July (my birthday month), but it's cool! It took a total of 4 months from my first consult in April 2013 until my surgery in August! I'm sooooo happy! *Doing a random silly dance* lol

Do anything to get your mind off of the food! Try chewing a piece of gum! Remember: the pizza & fries are what got us to where we are...NOWHERE! One day at a time! Tomorrow you'll be so proud of yourself for not eating that NASTY food. lol Good luck!

I will have to do a mandatory 4 weeks off of work, per my surgeon.

I had my endoscopy on May 23rd and I find out my surgery date tomorrow! Good luck to you!!!

I'd suggest changing the times of your meals. Are you hungry when you wake up in the morning? My NUT suggests to only eat when you're truly hungry. So, maybe you could start Breakfast later and also push back your other meals to avoid late night hunger.
