Day 2 of preop diet, I am craving everything. I also have a super sense of smell right now, I guess it's because I'm not shoveling a ton of junk into my body. -
As long as they can get to your scalp, it won't be a problem. They probably said no weave because they have had some patients that may have had a weave cap on or maybe the braids were too close together for them to reach the scalp.

Thanks, this is awesome. So I completed my 4th nutrition/ pre-opclass today. I go for my pre-op testing 5/20 and a day or two after that I will start my 10 day high Protein diet. Luckily it is not an all liquid diet. I can actually have food in addition to my Protein drinks. -
I have locs and it was very nerve wrecking getting all the glue out of my hair. They do not use a dab, it is more like a glob, at least the size of a finger tip. They also prefer that women not wear acrylic nails to the test, I have a gel overlay and did not have a problem. Also, I had to remove the polish from my nail on the finger that had the pulse of monitor attached( did not understand the purpose of that)

I am scheduled to have VSG on June 3rd with Dr. Hungness at Northwestern Hospital. He has a great personality and friendly bedside manner. He is skilled in advanced laparoscopic procedures.
