    African American Sleevers

The premier is good. Not a big fan of the chocolate, it's a little watery in taste, to me.

Yes, that is me that they are referring to. I've been coding for urology for 8 yrs. and I'm sure they are going through a thing since I've been off.

    questions

Maybe I'm advancing. I do belch, but now it is alternating with hiccups. The hiccups hurt and the belching doesn't .

Before After My breakfast, 1 slice of bacon and a homemade veggie egg foo young patty (bean sprouts, bell pepper, green onions, and mushrooms) I'm not an egg girl in the sense that I don't like omelets, boiled eggs, scrambled eggs. So this is the best way for me to eat an egg. As you can see, I ate maybe half. Georgette ( my sleeve) is really doing her job.
  6. I'm 3 weeks out also, same problem here. It has firmed up a little, but no way near normal. My best friend had gastric bypass last year and she explained that it will never be like it was unless you are dehydrated.

    questions

I'm 19 days post op, I can drink almost normal or i guess you can say a new normal. I can drink a 16.9 ounce bottle of water in about 30-40 minutes. Did the doctor give you stool softners? I had a bm at about 4 days postop but I had taking prescribed stool softners. When you do go, expect for it to really loose. The belching hasn't stopped for me, but has decreased. I have the itching, it wasn't as soon as you, it's usually a part of the healing process unless they are red ( which means you may have an allergic reaction to the surgical glue/tape

The waiting game is always the worst. I was the same way. I didn't have my approval until about a week after the 3rd class. Once I received approval, I was excited and then nervous all over again. Luckily when you get your approval, you will be scheduling your surgery at the same time.

No pain, just major discomfort. I take very small bites. It's suppose to take 30 minutes to complete each meal. Yesterday I had dinner with family for Father's Day. I was able to eat 1/2 of a Turkey Italian sausage with the casing removed (instructed that our sleeves may have a problem digesting the casing or it may become stuck) and one of the smallest fingerling red potato I have ever seen (the old me could have eaten at least 3 of them at one time). But I sat there with my saucer and cut everything into tiny pieces and ate very slowly savoring every chew. The rest of the family had regular plates that overflowed, and had seconds and thirds. I was full from less than a toddlers portion. Instead of the usual, going home with a couple of plates. I wrapped the other half of the sausage and another potato. I couldn't help but to laugh at how things have changed in just two weeks.

    June surgery dates

I completely understand the exhaustion. I planned to return to work two weeks after surgery, i was sleeved on the 3rd. That is so not going to happen. I get tired just from taking a shower. Before surgery, I was never one for taking naps and was constantly busy. Now, my bed is my best friend. I will be glad when I can get all of my energy back.

Don't be afraid. Everything will be just fine. When I say stuck, I don't mean like I'm choking. It's like it's like you can feel it sitting there and you want it to move down. If the is dry, no amount of chewing is going to make it . I also made that mistake with a piece of over cooked baked fish.

    June 2013 Sleevers GROUP

I was sleeved on the 3rd. It does eventually get better. I can actually drink a Premier Protein rtd within an hour. I don't really get tired anymore after eating. But now, it seems like it takes forever for my food to digest.

News flash! White meat chicken is not our friend for post- op sleevers. Laurie had informed us in class that white meat chicken tends to be too dry for us sleevers, unless you have a way to make it very juicy, to go with dark meat. So yesterday I decided that I would finally cook. Got out the good ole crockpot, frozen chicken tenders, spices, liquid smoke, chicken stock, and barbecue sauce. House is smelling, chicken looking good. I'm thinking " oh yes" it's on. Trying eating it, tasting delish, go to swallow and then it happened. The darn chicken was stuck in my chest for which seemed like eternity. Sooooooo depressing. So now my best friend is happy cause she received a container full of barbecued chicken. So I went to the store and bought ground turkey and made homemade meatballs. I'm good to go now.

It doesn't hurt. But sneezing is another situation. I have not had that happened. But if you feel pressure, it just may not be gas. lol

I have TMI rant. When you get sleeved, be prepared for your bowel movements to be very loose. It's not pretty.

    Any Chicago sleevers

So yesterday, everything got very real. I'm a food addict and vsg is like extreme detox for a person with a drug detox. I was bad yesterday ( this is a learning process and I will take it one day at a time.) I had been out yesterday for about 4hrs or so and was starving. Fell into old habits and went to Popeyes. So my plan was to order a shrimp box, figured even though it was fried it wouldn't be too bad since I can't eat that much. Well I also ordered some nuggets( which are really pellets) just incase I couldn't eat the shrimp. I ended eating one nugget, one shrimp, three fries, I was STUFFED.
