That's fabulous. What a wonderful story.I'm almost 4 months out and today I seen my pcp foe the first time since February. She told me my BMI is down to 26 from 36, I've lost 49 lbs and my blood pressure was excellent. I am now 195 lbs. haven't seen this since 2000!!! I cried and when I looked up she was crying too!!! She knows my weight loss struggle and has been walking with me in it. My goal is 150 even and I hope that I can reach it by November (my birthday). Today is a Major milestone for me. I sure hate that I waited this long to do this!!

I was also sleeved on 4/23/13. I have only lost 23 pounds. Still having trouble getting all my Protein in 40-50gm. I did not lose any weight in about 10 days. Its very scary. I have been walking, but have not hit the gym yet.I was sleeved on 4-23-2013 I've lost a total of 26lbs and have been on a stall for 3 weeks! Only losing inches rather than lbs. no need to worry. Stick to the program and pump the protein!

Brandy, I totally agree with you about people asking how much have you lost? I always feel like they expect the number to be bigger. Im sorry your family is not giving what you need in the way of support. Take care you and your baby are beautiful.

Hello fellow nurses!
My surgery date was 4/23/2013. I am very excited about my new tool. Open to suggestions and tips of any kind. Any SF Bay Area RN's?

Hello April sleevers! I had my surgery 4/23 in Plano, TX. I live in SF bay area. Im excited, nervous, happy, scared. It feels like I'm on a roller coaster. I'm really trying to enjoy the ride. Not used to feeling like I don't know what to expect next.

Ok so I'm almost three weeks post-op...and the dreaded 3 week stall has come early... I knew it would' date=' it happens to everyone... but my brain is programmed by 15 years of diets that if the scale is not moving, then I have done something wrong! How do we work on changing that mind set and seeing things from a new perspective?[/quote']Hello,
I feel your pain! I am post op day # 17 and I'm only 10 pounds down. It's so scary! I don't want to fail. My surgeon is out of town so I don't see a nutritionist. He thought I was on track. I have lost nothing in 4 days.

I take effexor also. I skipped 3 days post op. No side effects. When I restarted I just took the whole pill which was ok by my surgeon. I would have kept taking it in the hospital but they didnt carry it.Hey All..
So i have a concern regarding getting sleeved. I take EffexcorXR 225 mg ..Its a capsule with beads in it and apparently you arent supposed to open it up and take it. You are supposed to take it whole. So how am i going to be able to take it the evening of my surgery date? I cant miss a dose because the withdrawl from it is insane. I will get very sick if I miss a dose..so what do you do? I also take 2 sleeping pills but those can be crushed..so I am not as concerned about those.

Im on Effexor and Wellbutrin. I have taken Celexa and Prozac and had weight gain. No weight gain on my current regimen.

Hello Everyone,
I can't believe what an amazing wealth of information you all are. I had my surgery on April 23, 2013.
I feel like I just have not completely got the hang of it all. Feeling a little scared to do something wrong. I am very comforted reading everyone's post's. Thanks Again
