Sleeved 8/21 down 30lbs. And still never hungry. I hardly eat. What about you guys?
I had my sleeve on 8/21 too. I feel my stomach empty sometimes and I feel like I need to eat something. For the most part I can do without eating....no cravings is fantastic! I have lost 32 lbs so far.
Had my 1 month post-op today, was so happy all my labs came back normal. I was afraid my doctor was going to fuss me since I haven't been taking my Vitamins like I should.

8/21 here! This pre op diet is kicking my butt. My friend/coworker said you're cranky today...here have this, and brings me the other half of her donut. I wanted to high five her in the face! It was a nice gesture tho, she loves donuts. If I can get through this, I can get through anything!
I am Aug 21st too! I think I would want to smack her for bringing that donut by me. My husband said I was cranky yesterday. I am on my 3rd day pre-op diet. The first went ok, I was hungry throughout the day and went to bed hungry. Yesterday my stomach wasn't begging as much for some "regular" food and today was better than yesterday. I hope it continues to get better. You can get through this...a lot of people have gone before us and have been successful.

Post-op diet day 2. Today was much better than yesterday. Tonight I am not going to bed hungry and I ate/drank less today than yesterday. For a few hours this afternoon my husband noticed I was a little irritable but it passed. It finally hit my husband tonight that we will not be enjoying food together for quite some time.

Hi! Welcome! I will be sleeved 6 days after you! I start my pre op diet on the 17th. I am in nursing school, I graduate in December. I have my Advanced Med/Surg final tomorrow..... I couldn't read one more line! It is so important to me as a nurse to be a healthy role model for my patients. I am hoping to work with kids, or mother/baby. Looking forward to watching your journey!
Good luck with your exam!! I can't imagine going through nursing school and having surgery. How much time will you be able to take off of school for the surgery and recovery?

Hello everyone! I am a RN and have been a nurse for 9 yrs. My nursing career began in Mother/Baby then to L&D. Moved up into management at the hospital and decided to spread my wings to being a manager at a women’s health clinic. Due to a move to Texas I am now a high risk maternity case manager….LOVE IT!!!
My surgery date is August 21st. I started my liquid pre-op diet today and I am going to bed hungry. I hope I can continue to stay positive until my surgery.

Got my surgery date....August 21st! Pre-op diet starts the 7th and pre-op appt on the 16th. I was confident in my decision before I found out the date, now getting nervous.

I am so sorry that happened to you. Hopefully you can take another UA ASAP and have the surgery rescheduled quickly.

I am happy you are doing so well. I can only hope that I do just as well.

I am planning for the 2nd or 3rd week in August. I still have to get my cpap and wear it for 30 days before surgery.

Hiiiiii guysHey there!

My Dr wanted me to get a cpap and I told him no until after surgery if I still needed it I would get it. My husband said I don't even snore anymore.
Hopefully they won't take too long to get you set up and maybe you can get it done sooner:)
I was told that I would need to wear it for 30 days before I can have surgery. The soonest appointment I could get to get titrated is for June 15th. I put my name on the list to be called if anyone cancels before my appt.

Just got a call today to make my second appointment for my sleep study so they can have me start cpap. I guess I won't have my sleeve until probably August.

I want to cross my legs and tie my shoes! Not so much to ask for.I want the same. I would love to tie my shoes where the bow is on top of my shoe, not facing outwards. Of course my list list is much longer than this.

PA Schroeder mentioned Dr Pfluke was deployed but due back soon and that he thought Dr Dickerson was next to deploy????
Elissa you are probably right. It has been a little while since I went to the orientation. I thought there was only 2 surgeons. I think I got a little confused.

Hey Kali, I am in the process of doing my check off sheet. I know Dr H. is deploying this summer have you heard anything about how good the other Dr. is?

I have my psych eval tomorrow morning. I hope mine is quick and easy too, although I was told my appointment was for an hour. We will see...
Periods
in The Gals' Room
Posted
I had surgery 8/21/13 and my first period post-op was horrible. Before surgery it was: day 1 spot, day 2 heavy and day 3 spot. This time was spot only the first and last day. There was 5 days of heavy bleeding and small to medium clots. The cramping was so bad. Tylenol or Lortab didn't even help. I was stuck laying down with a heating pad for a week. I will see what my next period is like...if anything like my last I will go and see a gyn. Did you go to the doctor yet?
