My sons 2nd birthday is in July and I made sure to have the surgery after that date. I want to do a video but have not mustered up what to say or how to say it. I had a full blown anxiety meltdown crying fest last week thinking the same things you all have posted here. I also have a mother with Alzheimer's who needs my care. I've come to the conclusion that I need to be my best self for them and my husband. I also don't want to take the Pollyanna approach because complications are A REAL THING. However prayer and MY BELIEF IN GOD helped me make the decision to do the surgery. This is kinda off topic but the death if James Gandolfini REALLY HIT ME HARD that my reality could be his if I don't get my act together. He passed away leaving a brand new baby and wife. So young. Only 50.

Ok I start my pre op in July the second week. I've been doing this intermittent fasting thing off and on for days. I eat normal one day... Fast another. Fast and PRAY... IT IS HARD but I think I can do it when these 2 weeks approach. I love lurking in this particular thread because I FEEL everyone's pain if messing up. It's like... If I can't handle these two weeks what about AFTER SURGERY... And the panic attacks start.... This addiction is so twisted because we need food to live! We can't avoid it... I have to start doing samples NOW if pre op protein and broths I like.

This is why I am doing this BEFORE I start working and interviewing again. I have has time off with school (masters/MBA), a baby and my mom with Alzheimer's. I call it my chrysalis phase. I hated most of my coworkers wherever I worked because they were superficial and judgmental when I was skinny. I can't imagine how cruel folks would be now I am morbidly obese. When you deal with the entertainment industry or marketing it's awful. You have NO IDEA.

YES specifically a "chubby lumpkin" by a high schooler who looked like a roach in a mall behind my back. I ignored it but it hurt my heart.

Photos. One of my best friends since kindergarten died after knee surgery due to her weight... Pulmonary embolism. She was plus sized and 37 when she died. My bio mom died of a heart attack at 44. I had gestational diabetes having to take insulin and now see it creeping back with blood sugar readings. Hypothyroid. My baby boy who will be 2 and my husband whom I love so very much.
