  1. OMG god, thank you for admitting to stall. I'm so bummed I have only lost a pound from my post op visit. First I blamed my old ass scale, thinking well I will use this a new baseline but the damn thing hasn't budged except for up (in the evenings bc I like to torture myself). I track my calories, 450-550 per day, 60g protein (mainly from shakes but slowly adding more puréed food) and well hydrated with water (no artificial staff). My exercise efforts are dismal but this stall has me so unmotivated. Went back to work this week so I'm trying to reincorporated exercise but with so few calories I should lose something! Ugh, just need to vent this out.... Sad to admit, but so happy to see other July 8 ppl stalled, feel less like a failure. Arghhhhhh
  2. I'm 15 days out and started purees on Saturday. Lentils and eggs and Shelly ricotta bake all ok (like 2-3 oz max) but hummus killed me. In pain for an hour. Since I can't physically eat too much I make sure to have 2 Protein Shakes (50-60g protein) plus anything I eat is bonus. and drink drink drinking between. When I can tolerated more food and denser Proteins I will reduce the shakes but for now I don't stress about it. I know I have my whole life to eat solids, just moving into it as slow as I can mange. Even if I am craving chicken like crazy. My rule, add one new thing per day. I think you maybe rushing into the solids too quickly, regardless if ur NUT says you can, maybe ur sleeve is still sensitive. My diet kinda goes like this: Breakfast: Protein Shake made with ice and high Protein milk, nurse it for an hour+, take my omeprazole Water, tea lunch I split into 2 meals bc here is where I focus on food like Soup then lentils 2 hrs later. Water dinner is another shake made with water, take my supplements (not multivitamin) Snack is anything I'm craving like pudding, Jello if I need sweet or 3 bites of lentils, or an egg if I crave savory. water rest of night, making sure my urine is pale by the time I go to sleep. Chewable Multivitamin before bed (mine has iron). Hope this helps!
  3. HW 265 SW 255 CW 241 Stalled too... But I switched scales so I am blaming the new scale, lol. Returning to swimming laps tomorrow. Used to 1/2 mile in under 30 min, expect to barely get 20 laps in...
  4. Well I lost 13.6 pounds the first week so I celebrated with take out wonton soup, sans wonton. It was delish! Last night I went to fashion show (it's Swim Miami here this weekend) and got excited about possible suits next season. Hard because everyone was drinking and eating and I was sipping water. But tonight better, went for Pho and was so happy. How is everyone doing?
  5. So where is everyone on their diet? I had 1/2 scrambled egg and Sr Sleeve was fine. Taking super baby steps into purée stuff.
  6. I'm with you, although I haven't started purée yet I am worried I won't be restricted enough. Head hunger shows up,at weird times. Tomorrow I will try an egg and see what happens, wish me luck. PS know any good disordered eating therapists in Miami, I have a feeling I will need to check in with someone.
  7. Today was the first day I felt like my old self... Energized, focused, not hungry.... All good things. And had sex 6 days post ( no swinging from chandeliers, but with the way I feel today I am tempted to swing swing baby. Lol!)
  8. Don't worry Laura, the newly sleeved me is not so silly to start this now, just looking long term... I know it will take 6 months to fully heal from the assault committed to my belly and Protein is key. I just plan on drinking green extracts (no fibrous parts) at first and then progress to whole veg drinks as a supplement to my diet.
  9. Me too! Also down 13 lbs fron surgery date, woohoo!
  10. I just watched the same movie (part of my self improvement while recovering, sleeved 8 days ago). I can't wait to be cleared to drink green juices to augment my diet. But yes, I'm conflicted about the protein source, especially for sleevers.
  11. Hi, had my sleeve last Monday July 8th. Excitingly waiting for my first weigh in at doctor appt tomorrow. I don't feel thinner, still swollen but hopefully the scale moves.
  12. Medical supply stores carry them. Mine was life saver the first few days when I would walk.
  13. Day 2post op I had a very painful BM but after its been liquids in liquids out for me. Are you feeling less farty or burpy?
  14. I realized I burped more in the beginning because my sips were too big. Once I measured 5ml out and learned what that felt like in my mouth, my burping improved a bunch too. I was sleeved on the 8th so it will get better. The farting is different. What are you eating? I just started full liquids and each day added a new thing (yesterday milk, today yogurt, tomorrow protein shakes).
  15. Happy to see I'm not the only one wanting to eat something. Not just drink. I figured out that my sips are too big so that's why I am burping so much. Today I finally felt like food was tasty even if it was 2oz cream of potato leek. I took one walk and brought H2O with me and that helped a lot. Right now mainly bored, all I do is watch movies on TV. Need to do something different!
  16. Good luck everyone tomorrow. I'm reporting at 6am.
  17. 6am arrival at hospital for first surgery of the day. Food funerals continue!
  18. I had a mini panic attack, wondering am I ready for this, am I crazy, what if I fail? Better now but have a feeling I will be riding this emotional roller coaster for a while....
  19. Confirmed for 6 am Monday morning!
