  2. Thank you for all of your suggestions. I think I will call.
  3. No they didn't put me on anything for acid reflux.
  4. I am 19 days post op and still on liquids, purees, and soft foods. I am not ever hungry and struggling to get in enough liquids and protein. Even when I have not had much, I have horrible acid reflux. I have never had this before but I go to bed with it, I get up with it. It makes me not want to eat even when I know I need to eat. Can someone please help me understand this mess? My post op Dr appt is Friday.
  5. I am back to the living. I won't lie the first two days after surgery are rough especially if you are a Wimp like me. I am feeling so much better today and very thankful for that. It was rough in the hospital but it didn't make me want to stay another night. I was sleeved on Thursday June 6 and was out on June 7 by 3pm. I didn't do anything but walk the halls and sleep when I got home. The next day was pretty bad and I had a lot of trapped gas but last night which was Saturday everything started gurgling and roaring and I finally was feeling better. I woke up 3 times in the night and had a worse headache than the pain of surgery. Whoo Hoo I am feeling better.
  6. I am sitting here waiting in my gown. The lady before me, her family is not in the waiting area anymore, my husband said. They are probably in recovery so it won't be long they will come get me. I am so ready.
  7. I am headed to the hospital and since yesterday I have trapped gas that is killing me. Has anyone ever had this?
  8. I could have had mine in 2 weeks after meeting the surgeon but I needed to wait on my vacation so it was a month and 6 days.
  9. Good luck guys!
  10. Our day is almost here and I know you are as excited as I am. I thought it would take forever for JUNE 6th. I never thought I would make it through the 2 week pre-op diet and now I am all the way to the clear liquids. We have 2 days and then we will be in the hospital with a new journey ahead of us. A new LIFE. Maybe we can talk to each other about our pre-op, our surgery, things we have learned, things we are eating or drinking, and things we are worried about. We will be sleeve brothers and sisters for life!
  11. Only 5 days left and I have been on my pre-op since may 19. The second week on shakes Is killing me. I am so ill feeling.
  12. Who did your surgery?
  13. I do not want anything to change when I get my sleeve. That is why I do not want to say anything at all. I have been waiting for this and would be devastated if I do joy have it when it is scheduled.
  14. I have started my pre-op diet and been doing great. My surgery is scheduled for June 6 but I am feeling pain under my breast on the right side. I believe it is my gall bladder and I do not want it to interfere with my surgery. What can I do to ease the pain so it doesn't interfere. I am so ready for my surgery.
  15. What should I wear after surgery. I do not own anything that is comfortable that I would wear in public. What should I buy for walking down the halls and after surgery that will be comfortable on my tummy?
  16. I am an over achiever. I started my pre op diet early and I also started just shakes earlier than I was required. There are a lot of June 6 dates on here. Il that is cool
  17. Thank you bi am sure I won't. I am so ready. I am scared I won't feel good while on just shakes but I am going for it anyway
  18. I have decided instead of doing a week of shakes for breakfast and 4 oz of met and 1 cup of veggies for lunch and dinner that I am going to go straight into the 4 shakes for 2 weeks pre-op. I can do this and I am ready to start. I have eaten my favorite foods in excess the past few days and I am sick after eating healthy since I found out I was approved. I have about 20 days as if now till surgery and I am so ready to make a life change. June 6 will be here soon.
  19. June 6th is my day also. I am starting my pre op diet on Tuesday.
  20. I agree completely. I could go tomorrow too. I may be rushing this but I am so ready. I have not been ready for anything like I am this.
  21. I have decided instead of doing one week with a shake and 4 oz meat and 1cup of veggies for lunch and dinner that I am going to start the 4 shakes a day and 64-80 oz of liquid half being water on Tuesday when the preop starts. I have already been doing good with one shake a day and healthier lunch and dinner. I am ready to start. So I am going to start on Tuesday for a surgery date of June 6
  22. We have ours the same day. I am so ready
  23. Zaine20 I am scheduled for the 6th also. I start my preop diet Tuesday and I have started a shake a day already
  24. I have a June 6th date and I am super excited. I have already started preparing by eating a shake for breakfast and a healthy lunch and dinner. I haven't lost any weight since I went to my surgeon on May 1st but I haven't gained anything either. I will start the real pre-op diet on May 21st after eating a really huge meal the night before. I will then start weighing my food and keeping up with exactly what I put in my mouth. I will be on shakes only the week before and I am not thrilled but I hope I will lose 10 to 20 lbs before surgery. My highest weight was 283 when I started this journey and I am at 268. I can't wait till June 6.
