  1. From reading just your initial post and no other comments or responses it seems like you weren't quite ready for the commitment of the sleeve. There's nothing wrong with that in a right vs wrong kind of way. However, the toll of that is you and your mentality are a victim of what you think was the biggest mistake of your life. Spoken like a true addict that can't get their fix. I'm not saying this is a derogatory way at all, please don't take it that way, I'm a food addict too! But I think you're going to find the most help by seeing a therapist regularly. If you think something is wrong with your particular sleeve then have that addressed, but you can't live in misery and not try to help yourself.

  2. So hard! I'm on day two of my five day clear liquid and I was feeling sooo sick at work. Don't laugh but I have been smelling the food I want to relax the headaches. I have way to many mental thoughts about food late and the fact that I need to small lay's chips is insane. The rule is smell but don't touch.

I'm on day 5 of the low carb pre-op diet (vs. the liquid diet) but I'm so hungry! I have to do this low carb diet until the 12th, then Clear Liquids day before surgery and then surgery on the 14th. We are going to make it!!!

  3. I think it widely varies based on your surgeon. I'm having sleeve on the 14th and I'm simply on a low carb diet. This entails eating nearly any low carb foods you'd like while keeping a goal of reaching at least 70g of Protein a day with less than 30g of carbs a day. It's probably not as hard as the all liquid diets I'm hearing about but it's hard because nearly everything has carbs, even foods considered "low carb"! Contact your surgeon's office or dietician to find out details of your particular pre-op diet. I've lost 5 pounds and I'm on day 5 of the pre-op diet! I'm hungry a lot of the time but I'm going to pull through. This will all be so worth it!
