I started freaking out I was never going to be able to eat lettuce, so I was a smart cheater, and ate salads with fat free or low carb dressing. My doc said my liver looked perfect, and thus far, recovery has been easy, just sore. I was sleeved on May 15. I also lost 9 lbs. during pre-op.

It really depends on your foot. I highly recommend going to a running shoe specialty store because they will measure and exam the way your foot is arched, etc. I spent $160 on a pair of Brooks that have a high instep because I have plantar fasciitis, and I will NEVER wear any other shoe except one that has a high instep in it! Worth every penny and then some, they are so comfortable, I want to wear them all the time, and I'm more of a Yellow Box girl. Footsmart.com is also a good website if you already know how what type of support you need for your feet.

I had to see a cardiologist pre-op, since I had congestive heart failure because of complications from my pregnancy. I just had to do a nuclear stress test, EKG, and was cleared pretty easily for surgery.Glad your doing better but just wondering did you see a cardiologist pre-op?

I'm May 15, too! I love the idea of looking at that date as a "rebirth!"

Better than bouillon is the best broth! I got mine at costco, they have the chicken and beef, but am sure you can order it online.
