4.85 miles in today. Feeling great with not a lot of knee pain. Total for the month now stands at 18.15 miles. It is supposed to rain tomorrow so looks like a recumbent bike day tomorrow. Great job so far this month everyone! Keep it up and have fun!

Great day today! Completed 4.45 miles including a .60 mile walk with my wife. .60 miles isn't much but we have a pretty good hill in our neighborhood so walking up a hill for her still wears her out. I am proud of her, she will get stronger. She is only 5 weeks post op. We are talking about working on training for a 5K next year...walking it because she can't run very well due to her back. So...my total as of now is 13.30 miles to date.

Thanks...but you are killing those numbers everyday! Great job!

Hey everyone! Hope everyone had as great a weekend as I did. I didn't get in a bike ride in like I was hoping...oh well. I got in 2 miles on Saturday and 3 miles today. That puts me at 8.85 miles for the month so far. Time to step it up and kick it into the next gear! Have a great week everyone!!

Dang...wish I had seen this post. I would have met up with you just to say hello and shake the hand of the man that inspired me to get my arse moving by issuing a challenge. Hope you had a good time.

Hello my August brothers and sisters! It is great to see everyone doing and looking so great! I also was sleeved on 8/19. Everything has been going smooth and have really found a side of me I haven't seen since high school...a side that likes to exercise! I am down 46 pounds since surgery on 8/19 and down a total of 69 pounds since pre-op! I feel great! Walking 3 miles a day minimum and have gotten back into bike riding. Keep it up everyone...looking great!

First day of the new month is now in the books. 3.85 miles walked. Knee has been feeling pretty good the last few days. I am hoping to get a ride or 2 in this weekend now that all the rain is gone. Let's have a great month everyone and welcome to all the new faces! Come on in, do what you can but most of all...have fun!

Hey a neighbor! I am in Haughton right down the road. I grew up and work in Shreveport. Welcome aboard!

Hey everyone! Great job on your totals for September and a huge thank you to Butterthebean for starting that post and challenging us all to challenge ourselves. We all wish BTB great success and a speedy recovery from his surgery. We know you will be watching and cheering us on. October is among us and with that comes a new challenge. 100 miles in 31 days! Walk, run, bike, whatever you do, log those miles and drink that water! Anyone who has been lurking in the shadows and watching last months challenge, now is your time to join us! It doesn't matter if you do 1 mile a day or 20, just go at your pace and have fun! For those of us who participated in last months challenge, I want to issue a personal challenge to add another 15 miles to what you did last month. After all, there is 1 more day in this month. On a side note, this group has become very motivational for me as well as others. If you don't mind, let's let everyone know your real first name. If you would rather not and just want to go with your username that is perfectly fine. I will kick it off...my name is Ted. Good luck everyone and log those miles!!

Happy Halloween everyone! October is done...does that mean Christmas music starts tomorrow? Soooo...3.70 miles today walked. That puts my final total for the October challenge at 131.70 miles! I beat Sept by a little over 4.5 miles. Not as many as I hoped but still happy with my total. Great job everyone and thank you all for being so motivational for me. There were definitely days I didn't want to do anything but everyone here kept me going. Thank you all and see you next month (tomorrow).

2.8 miles knocked out today. Been a hectic time with the end of the month and all at work. I should be able to finish strong tomorrow. I hit my goal, now just working on some extra mileage. Total so far this month is 127.97 miles. Plan is to break 130 tomorrow, that will beat Sept total by 3 miles. Not as much over previous month as I hoped but I will take it. Come on everyone...1 more day! Let's finish strong! And stay out of the Halloween candy...LOL

AWESOME day today! Just over 4 miles today including a great 1 mile walk with my wife at the track down the road. She walked the entire mile without stopping! I am soooo proud of her. Before her surgery she couldn't even go past 2 laps which is 1/2 mile. Tonight she walked 4 complete laps and wasn't even winded! I love it! Love ya baby! So...this puts my total at 125.15 miles for the month.

WOW...hope your ok! I hope the dog is missing a couple teeth. I love dogs and have 2 myself but first time one comes at me, he is gonna be in for a surprise...lol

3.65 miles today. Knee feels good and miss riding the bike but I think I will give it a couple more days before riding. My total is at 121.1 miles. Great job everyone, let's finish the month off strong!

My knee pain comes and goes. I have had 2 surgeries on it and had problems with them since I was a kid. The pain in my knees and ankle have just become a part of life for me. Sad to say, but I am used to it. I just rest it a little when it acts up and then go back at it.
-
1.60 miles today. Taking it easy these last few days to let my knee rest. I have been getting some old pains back. Hoping I haven't damaged it again. It is not stopping me though. I am now at 117.45 miles.
-
I know how you feel. I had surgery in 2012 for a torn meniscus in my right knee. I have noticed some pretty good pain at times in that knee again, a lot of the same pains I had before. I am hoping I haven't retorn it. I guess time will tell. Just take it easy and take care of yourself.

Maybe not earth shattering but they are goals and definitely better than sitting on the couch and doing nothing for a month. Welcome aboard.

You know I am in again! I am going to go for 130 miles this month between walking and biking. Now that the weather is cooler, I plan on getting out on the new bike more and escaping the garage! So 130 miles it is! Good luck to everyone, just have fun, enjoy and challenge yourself. Don't compare what you can do to what everyone else is doing. We are all at different stages pre op and post op. Just do what you can, that's better than nothing at all. Just have fun!

1.50 miles walked today. We even went and picked out a bike for the wife. Can't wait for us to start riding together. No trail riding for her though, I get that adventure by myself. We will stick to the bike path when together. Now we are headed out for a pre-Halloween date night. My mileage now stands at 115.85 miles.

3.2 miles in today. Did a little shopping with the wife. I am so proud of her, she is walking her little hiney off. Tomorrow is a date night for us, I can't wait. So my total stands at 114.35 miles. As for next month, if ya'll want to do 2 different challenges that is cool with me. I can start the Nov. 100 miles and Butter can start a 50 miler. Sound good?
