Couch to 5K - Week of 14 ? 20 October

ok thanks too JM's input i started the Couch to 5k this week! My Ymca has the best treadmills. I was worried if you look at my weight but i actually managed it. Got my heart rate to 145 at one point. Did my usual 50 min swim afterwards. But for those considering it and there high weight i had not too bad of a problem. Gosh i bet i havnt ran for like 10 years!!!! Major NSV for me. All thanks to JMCambras encouragement!!! -
jm---I did it! Week 1 of Couch to 5k. I actually RAN! or Jogged! Major NSV for me. Wasnt that bad either. Jelly legs afterwards. Then did 50 mins swiming 42 laps.

Tue- weight lifting 45 mins, pool laps 30 - 35 mins I really thinking of working in the couch to 5k programme. You think thats a good idea for me or am i still to overweight?

6 Miles!!!Oh my gosh!!!!!Thats like a full on Marathon for me! Yeah the only reason i went 1.5hrs is i was in a hotel waiting for my flight in the morning and i had NOTHING to do. I just watched The Office on the TV in the gym and i could turn it up as loud as i wanted as no one else was there. Dibaby---Good job weighing in.....i am so going to throw a party when you hit goal. Sunday---62 pool laps

I won a fittness comp! 2 weeks a go the YMCA had us counting our steps for the week. They gave you a conversion for exercises. I did 7 days that week with at least 1 hr 15min a day. Well they added the steps up and i was in the TOP 5! woo hoo! i mean ME! I won a t shirt for being in the top 5 out of about 100 people there. -
Dibaby___what happened at your weigh in yesterday??? Friday i did 45 mins lifting weights and 1hour in the pool Thursday i went on the treadmill for 1hr 30mins and swam for 30mins. Sassy, let me be the first to congratulate you!!!!!!!!!! Actually for me getting the approval WAS the biggest hurdle. the next was the pre op diet but after surgery everything was a breeze! YOU GO GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!! -
ok ... went to the Hotel pool for 30 mins tonight...i really got to learn how to exercise on the road if i want to suceed

Ok....Monday, Swam an hour at the hotel pool in the morning (On the road).....Lifted weights at the Local Ymca (was a little rough in that neighbourhood) but its always nice trying a different YMCA, Hey thanks for the sneaker tips.

Friday--Had to get to work early so just 30laps in the pool today, 40mins. Pretty weak i know but it was better than sleeping in. Might see if i can cut the grass tonight to pick up the pace a little. Crazy busy weekend to follow then off to New York.

Jmcambra--way to go....sorry you dont feel good!yeah i think it might be a good idea to rest until you feel better. I feel guilty kicking your butt yesterday to make you go. Well you did ask for it. Today, 52 laps in pool---1hr 10mins.

Well i used to be a HVAC Refrigeration tech and now i work for a refrigeration equipment manufactuer taking tech surport calls and i also travel around the USA teaching tech's how to repair and maintain our equipment. I also handle warranty repairs. Woooo hoooo!

GET YOUR BUTT TO THE GYM!!!!!!!!!!!!:angry Was that good enough? I really not a mean enough person to yell at someone. Just dont think about what your going to do there when you get there just get there (overuse of the word there) Once your there you can think about what to do. Do it though! Do something!
