You scard me to with the taking it out thing....I am glad you stated it was just the fill !! Congrats to you to!! I hate to admit it but I am behind on paying my doctor bills so I am not sure if my band doc will help me with this....I am more relying on my family doctor for guidence in this. I am taking alot of Vitamins and really watching that I get enough for two...but a little worried! I will keep you informed on how I go, and maybe you can learn some from me.

  2. Hello all....I was just curious if anyone out there was pregnant and banded? I was banded in Jan 05' and have been at my goal weight for about 6 months (started out at 298, goal weight 152, now being 19 weeks pregnant I am at 166) I have not had my band released, I think for mental reasons....I don't want to go back to eating like I did before, and I seem to be gaining weight just fine. I eat my three meals then add in 2-3 small Snacks for the extra calories, I also allow myself a bowl of ice cream (calcium right!!!). I am a little worried about the port getting pushed around when I get bigger...I already have port sensitivity. Anyone with advice or in my situation I would love to hear from.

Take Care and keep on shrinking!!!

P.S. I have a running joke that I am probably one of the few women who will have to grow into my skin, while being prego!

  3. I was banded in Jan 2005 and have reached my goal weight :) (was 298 now I am, ok before pregnancy 152, now 165) I have had no problems at all with the band (knock on wood) but I was wondering has anyone out there been prego with it? At first I was worried that I would not gain enough weight (doing OK there) and I have not unfilled my band....I think for mental reasons, I am scard that I will go back to eating like I did before, so instead I eat 6-7 small good for me meals (except for ice cream at night) a day and it's working. I am now scared that my port will get pushed out when I get bigger and I already have issues with port sensitivity. I guess I am looking for anyone else in the same situation as me or any possible advice.

By the way I am 19 weeks along!

    Thanks.....Frisky

  4. I was wondering is anyone having problems meeting their Water intake goal? I am 12 days out and I am suppose to drink at min. 32 ozs. a day but within the limits of 1/4 cups every 15 min. I am sipping water all and I mean all day long and I can bearly meet that 32 oz mark let alone the 64 oz they want us at. I also am now into the mush stage so I can't drink 30 min. before a meal and 1 hour after a meal....taking another 6 hours out of my drinking time (assumeing 3 meals are eating). Any tips from you all?

    Take Care!!

I am already part of a bypass support group, but they just don't understand us banders. Just kidding they are great, I am just looking for more people in my boat.
