  1. Hi AngRN, can u share your story and any advice for us "soon to be" sleevers?

    Wags,

I was sleeved on May 20. I got to the hospital at 5:30 am. Went to surgery at 7 am. Total time in surgery was about 45 minutes. I was in my room at about 10 am. I set a goal to be up and walking at noon. I took my first walk at 12:30. I had alot of nausea from anesthesia, but received medication for it Zofran then Phenergan. I walked a total of 5 times day of surgery. I was discharged at 2 pm on May 21. I have been feeling really good. Just a little sore. Went back to sleeping in my own bed right away using a pillow to splint my stomach( I am a side sleeper). I have not had a big problem getting in my fluids. The Protein shakes I liked on preop diet did not sit well with my stomach(made me a little nauseated) so I went and got the Protein Shots.< /p>

    Good Luck May 31st sleevers!

  2. 1 week from today we will all be sleeved!!! I plan to take my phone and post as soon as I can after surgery. Would love to hear from each of you as well. Found some Protein powder today that I like and can mix it with Water. Hoping I can get the stuff down after surgery!!! Have been reading a lot of the post surgery posts and sounds like folks hit a stall in week 3 if they aren't getting enough protein/calories down. Just want to do this already!!! :)

Mizzougirl, good luck on surgery I had mine on may 20 I am feeling good Protein shakes have been hard to get down and they tasted fine before. I just grabbed some Protein Shots. Only 3 ounces and 26 grams of Protein. Where in missouri do u live?

I live near lake of the ozarks.

  3. I am being discharged today. I consider myself lucky I was up walking at 12:30 and walked 5 times my first day. Had some pretty bad nausea from anesthesia but it is much better now!

I hope the rest of the sleevers are doing great!!
