Its Gatorade but the 2 is gatorade with less calories and sugar than the regular. I particularly like the fruit punch one and its been a real great help getting my fluids in... plus the electrolytes help a lot too. Totally recommend!

Lucky You! I have to keep my drainage pump in for 9 days! At my first post-op appoitnment they are going to take it out. Otherwise, my surgery went really great as well! I was discharged the next day by 11am. The bummer part was that I had a three hour drive home, and that was was absolutely miserable! I have been up walking more and more as well, it is quite the task though to get out of bed... Its amazing how much you use your abs! I have limited my pain meds, Im trying to just take some before bed so it helps me get to sleep. but then I am up at 3 or 4am and do some walking around the house. Walking definitely helps a lot!
On another note, I was accepted into my BSN program and start in the fall!
What have your three meals a day consist of?

Yes! IT HAS BEEN TOUGH! In fact, I have messed up a few times not sticking exactly to my plan! It didnt help either when I read a forum on here about people binge eating for an entire week right up to their surgery! I went four months without having fast food, then I broke and ate Taco Bell! I go tomorrow to my pre-op class so Im worried now that I have not met my 20lb loss and they will have to push my surgery out....
Congrats on your Date! And for sure I am wishing you the disciplined mind to stay on track!
The details of my plan are 1 Protein Shake in the morning, one Protein shake in the afternoon and then four ounces of meat and a little bit of veggies. I started April 23rd... and then two days before my surgery I go Clear Liquids.< /p>

Brooke....I'm a May 2012 sleever. All I can say is....best decision I ever made. This whole time, my mantra has always been "think where you'll be a year from now." Every time I things got tough, that's what I told myself. I've been telling myself that since I started my 6 month supervised diet way back in November 2011. I kept saying it right through the pre op diet, and the post op liquids. Still telling myself that.
But here it is getting close to a year post op and I feel like I have a new life. Yes, I'm still me...with all the flaws and stresses that come with that. But so many doors are open now that weren't before. And I have more hope for the future than I ever thought possible. I am brimming with optimism and enthusiasm. No more hiding, no more excuses.
Yes it takes work. It is certainly not "easy." There are times when you're going to want to take a hammer to your scale. And there are going to be times when you'll want to drown your frustrations in a plate full of unhealthy food. But you fight those battles and prevail. And one day, maybe this time next year, you wake up and realize that you are a new person in a new body with a new attitude. Makes everything worthwhile.

As of today I am officially scheduled for May 7th! There is an equal mixture of excitedness and nervousness within me! Congrats on your approval, thats one more step in the right direction! When I ended the phone call, I was like, "Its REAL, this is really happening! I start my pre-op diet this coming Tuesday! Ahh!
