I don't blame you! I hated not having food I can chew LOL (weird how you miss that, isn't it?). Don't feel bad you've lost 6 lbs! That's about where I was. But it says you're down 45 lbs? That's amazing!! That is great Keep at it! When I did weight watchers before the surgery, I was lucky to be down a pound or two in one week...so 6 lbs in 10 days is awesome
I had my surgery at my doctors surgical center in Woodland Hills. It went well, thankfully

Oh cool! I'm in Moorpark! We should all meet up somewhere!
I'm doing okay. Kind of frustrated because I hit yet another stall It's been 4 1/2 months and I'm only down 51 lbs (I know I shouldnt complain...but it's difficult). How are you all feeling?

I have the same problem. I was thinning and losing it before surgery, and now it's worse Gobs of it coming out and clogging the drain...it's so depressing! I'm taking Biotin 10,000 mg and a homeopathic remedy, but so far, no regrowth. I hope it comes in soon too!

Thank you!!!

You need Protein. You're probably starting on stage 2 now, right? What really helped me in soft foods was pureeing chicken (it sounds and looks gross, but if you add marinara sauce or something to it, it's pretty good!), or even tuna. Try to get maybe 2-3 oz in and if you're hungry later, eat again. Jello is good too...

How long did it take you to start to see your hair grow back? I'm a little over 4 months out and it's been falling out in globs I already had thinning hair and now it's worse. I take 10,000 mg of Biotin daily, and bought that "Wet" brush people talked about (good brush, btw! lol)...but...still nothing. How long does it normally take? Anybody know?

Wow! 6 1/2 a week is amazing! I think the most I lost in the beginning a week was 4 LOL Now, I'm about 4 months out and I'm lucky to get 1-2 lbs a week It's been frustrating. You are doing amazing!

Thanks everyone! Maybe I won't crave it so much after all. I'm thinking now that maybe it's because I haven't had it that I want it (that forbidden food thing...). I don't eat much anyway, so it wouldn't be a huge amount. But...I try to allow myself other things once in a while (ie: ice cream LOL) just so I don't make this feel like a diet and allow myself that treat every so often. Maybe I'll feel more comfortable with the idea soon and try it

I was just in Disneyland for 2 days and all I did was eat out. It wasn't awkward, but I have had experiences where I ask to order off the kids menu and both places asked me if there was a reason for it (which I thought was ridiculous. One said she had to ask her manager if it was okay. Seriously?!) But, I usually just order a'la carte or something small...or split it with someone. I don't really drink when I eat, but there are times I need to take a sip just to wash it down. So, I usually have Water or ice tea with me there anyway.

I'm 4 months out now, and I know I can start to introduce everything again (and I have been). The one thing I haven't tried are the breads and pastas. I've been afraid. One, I'm afraid of craving them again like I used to, and two...well, you hear horror stories about it getting stuck and everything.
When did you try to eat breads? And how was it for you?
I've done crackers, matzo, and corn tortillas...

I'm about 3 1/2 months out and everytime I eat and/or drink I gurgle in my throat, tummy, etc....and it gets loud. Very embarrassing LOL

I love the chocolate covered frozen banana too! Cosco has it and Dole (I believe) puts it out now where it's 4 banana slices in dark chocolate. They're in 100 calorie pouches and it's perfect for the sweet tooth I was hoping my sweet tooth would go away after surgery, but no such luck lol

I never stopped coloring my hair LOL It's really thin now and bare in places I didn't want to wait...I don't know how long it will take to grow back..

I did that too...and it does get easier. Hang in there!

I'm curious about what everyones cycle has been since surgery? The first couple I had after surgery, it seemed fairly normal. But, now it's only been 19 days and I got it. WAY early! Anyone else finding it bounce all over the place? LOL

Ugh, I was never able to swallow a crushed pill. I tried....tried to hide it in applesauce, pudding, etc and it was just SO nasty! So, I ended up just slicing it one or two times to make it really small and did it slowly that way (took me all day to get my 4 pills down, but at least I did). Now, I can mainly take them whole and at one sitting It does get easier!

I'm 3 months out now, and was wondering when you all tried popcorn again? I saw my surgeon yesterday, and the office said I can pretty much be eating anything and introducing everything again slowly.
Did any of you have it at this stage?

I think so. But, I think it may have been a combo of things too. I had an iced mocha (it's a weakness of mine LOL sugar free, Decaf, of course...lol), and I think the fact I had that one a fairly empty stomach was a big part of it. But, it was a rough day emotionally too...so I think that attributed to it too.

I was sleeved then too 42 lbs since pre-op! Seem to be doing well. Had tummy issues yesterday for some reason though...
Are you eating salad yet? I was told still not to try it, but everything else seems to be sitting okay...

That's great! I understand all those emotions...I went through them too. It's completely normal I had second and third thoughts, doubted myself...thought "why not just stay on weight watchers instead of doing something so drastic?" stuff like that. But, I'm really glad I did it! It really is helpful and my biggest issue was portion control...now, it's not an issue LOL You will be so happy when it's done and you get into routine Excited for you!
